I went to the dentist the other day for some root canal work.
The dentist was injecting the anaesthetic into my gum, he looked at my card and read that I'd written my occupation as 'student'.
My mouth was feeling really numb and he asked me what I was studying.
I replied, 'theology' but it came out in a very slurred way.
He then said, 'oh' and started talking extensively about rocks and rock formations.
I then realised he thought I'd said.... 'geology'!
Anyway... with all the stuff in my mouth I couldn't correct him and just kept on nodding in agreement.
