Well.
In the bible. I think it is in matthew where jesus went into a synagogue (dunno if i spelled it right) and cast demons out of a man (only christians were allowed into the synagogues). Hence, christians can have demons.
Actually they were not called Christians, rather Jews. All Jews were allowed into the temple. Jews, at the time were still under the law and had received the Holy Spirit as it was poured out on the day of pentacost. So I am not sure if this example would be a good one too use.

Your second post does not lend much evidence either. Rather I would interpret that as meaning in the after life and not in this life. Your interpretation IMO is a stretch.

God warns us over and over on protecting ourselves from demons and the devil. It's only natural to "assume" that demons can go into christians. If this is wrong then God would have made it clear to us. He tells us to protect us from the evil one with the armor (ephsians 6:10).

I have a lot of experience with christians having demons....I have cast demons out of BORN AGAIN christians. The bible is meant for christians to read and grow in their walk with christ. Why would Jesus talk soo much about casting out demons, and protecting us against their schemes? Personally i have had nuemerous demons cast out of myself. Some people say that i must have not REALLY been a born again christian.

True.
BUT. The way you get demons, is by UNFORGIVENESS, and UNREPENTED sin. If you have sin in ur life that has not been forigven for, then God will ALWAYS show you what happened and what you did wrong. -hope you get what i'm talking about.

I see where you are coming from. Most certainly I agree with you that if we are having a problem in a certain area of our life, and there's just no breakthrough, yet, and if we ask the Spirit where we are missing it, yes He will most definitely show us becos He has our best interest at heart. That much I agree.

I am just against the "when-u-get-to-heaven-God-plays-a-video-of-your-life- including-all-your-shameful-sins-for-all-to-see" concept, whether done here on earth or in heaven.

My friend, there weren't any Christians then -- Jesus had not yet even died, much less rose again, much less given the Spirit who would be IN Christians.

I meant to put in Jews, sorry.
Wouldn't you think that God would have told us that demons can't go into christians if it was not possible?? Show me where it says christians can NOT have demons. Lemme see that one chief.
So do you think that a demon can live harmoniously with the spirit of God that resides in you and me at the same time? Remember Light overcomes the darkness and darkness cannot overcome the light, Tonto;).

Ok. I am going to add a thought as well and maybe clear up where I am coming from.

First I believe that God can and deliver those caught up certain physical addictions like drinking, smoking, sexual, etc...

Ok. Let's say that we have 2 people who are addicted to pornography before they come to Christ. Let say Joe comes to Christ and his addiction is completely removed. He is delivered from the bonds and chains of pornography.

Now we have John who also gets saved. But John is still struggling with pornography and the physical addiction that it has on him. Is his addiction being caused by a demon or is it a physical addiction. Let's also assume that John repents and is very remorseful to God and has every intention of turning away. What is causing John to "sin". Is it a demon or is it a consequence of his former life that is still plaguing the natural, physical man. Is it both? Remember, John is a Christian and loves Christ and is thankful for what Christ has done.

Harmony? Why do you think there is such turmoil going on in some Christians lives?
So you believe that a believer can be filled with the holy spirit and have demons as well?

And to answer your question.

First what do you mean by turmoil, physical or spiritual? Let me give you yet another example. Let's say that I go to the doctor tomorrow and find out that I have terminal cancer. Do you believe that I have received this cancer because of sin in my life? Or do you believe that it can be a natural progression of this earthly finite life?

The Bible states that my life and yours if just a vapor. That my life on this planet is just a blink in the eye of God's plan of eternity. If I loose my wife and child tommorrow and everything else that could go wrong I am not going to blame it on Satan and give him the glory and I am not going to blame it on God. Why? Because this world is full of turmoil that just happens sometimes. Why are placing demons who are not all powerfull, not all knowing, who are not everywhere behind every bush waiting to pop out and destroy a spirit filled believer.

The measely 70 years spent on this tiny planet in just a speck of dust compared to the wonderful eternity that God has planned for all those that love him keep his commandments. That's the bottom line. My goal on earth is to see that people come to no God. We have one life, and in that one life we have one choice. What are you going to do? What are we helping people to do? Or are we waisting time placing the devil at every crime. Giving satan credit for things that are sometimes just a natural occurence of this vapor we call life.

I believe that if a Christian walks according to the flesh they will reap what they have sown. That does not mean they are not saved. . .just continuing to live in bondage to what Jesus set them free from.

Spiritual turmoil usually leads to physical turmoil. . .I'm not going to venture into why each person may have whatever physical ailment they have. . .that is not what this discussion is about. . .however. . .I have seen total physical healing when the person went through deliverance. This is not always the case, but can be.

The Bible says, the thief is come to kill, steal and destroy. If he's not out to hurt us what do you suppose he is killing, stealing, and destroying?

This type of thing does not happen to a believer without their submitting to it. That is why it is so important to teach people how to walk in the freedom they have been given instead of telling them "it's Ok, we all fall." It's not OK. It opens the door and gives a foothold to our enemy. And if left unchecked leads to bondage.

I've got some good stuff for you....
John has not given that area of sin over to God yet. So i would say it's demonic. Once he asks God to Release him from pornogrophy and tell the demons to leave, and ask God to SEAL that DOORWAY for demonic attack. THEN and only then, will he be delivered. The only way that can be re-opened is if he willingly and purposefully looks at that again..........
I found this site a while ago, check it out and read this article......
