Hello
I want to know what most Christians think of the "F" word when used to refer to homosexuals and transgender individuals. On a previous thread, I said I used to be a crossdresser but I no longer partake in that. A pastor from a local church I went used the word during a sermon. I know Christians aren't supposed to take part in sin and hate it but is it really necessary to call people hurtful names who walk outside of God? I mean how are LGBT supposed to hear the gospel when Christians are using hurtful names to refer to them. Personally, I don't like name calling at all even when people call pedophiles names.

Words like that are verbal abuse. They do not belong anywhere in a Christian context, whether there are people who would be hurt by them or not.

In the UK both words would be ok in some contexts, but not others. The longer form is a kind of meatball, and the shorter is slang for a cigarette.

Amen, they will know us by our love, not our verbal abuse.

He said it several times to and even said he hates Fs. Also, I went to his church yesterday and he stated Jesus referred to male prostitutes as dogs. Now one would say that is dehumanizing, though, calling a human an animal name would be exalting that person but insulting to the animal seeing is how animals are nicer than people. If Jesus said such worldly things than how is he not of the world? I hoped Jesus was a lot kinder to non-violent offenders at least but it seems not so. I guess this generation too soft and I'm a victim. :(

and even said he hates Fs.:(

This right here is the answer to your problem.

No true Believer hates anyone. They may dislike and unapprove of someone's lifestyle. And might not quite care for somebody. And we will certainly hate satan. But we should hate no man, woman or child under any circumstances. Matter of fact,God says to pray for them. Indeed, how can you not have anything but pity for the eternal suffering and separation from God those poor souls will endure. It is truly a fate I can wish upon no man...

So anyone who claims fellowship but says such thing is either lying, not saved,or in a terrible relationship/disobedience toward God.

Be Blessed!

The pastor has also stated many churches today are workers of inequity. I need to ask: Have you read all of your Bible? Is it acceptable for a Christian to feel pity for lost souls even the ones who've committed the worst of sins?

The Lord did not refer to male prostitutes at all, let alone as dogs.

Where is he getting this nonsense from?

Find another church. Preferably one which preaches the Gospel of Christ rather than a modern man made version.

For me, if I was called a name of something evil that I WAS, I would be affected to swiftly make changes to myself. I wouldn't look for a shoulder to cry on.

I'd have to hear the context of how he used it. Obama used the "n-word" just last week.

Never mind my last about context. His use of the word seems very inappropriate and Jesus never even mentioned male prostitutes (as far as was recorded in scripture). However, Paul did speak about men having sex with other men in Romans 1:26, and promoters of the homosexual agenda do claim that Paul was speaking of male prostitutes (even though the Greek text does not agree). Is this pastor one of those "I want to start a church so I got a mail order ordination" types who has no training whatsoever?

You have to put into perspective; if you let a vulgar slang have that much power over you, then anyone can use it against you, and that is something devilish. There's a greater issue to it beyond just yourself, that many people get into an accusatory way. It's somewhat simplistic to say it this way, but to consider what it means to let the devil creep into the situation, getting the preacher to curse, and for what? Is it not a way to tempt others to curse back? So then people are at odds, and how far will it go? How much will that escalate? No one's perfect. Even myself, I say cuss words all the time, it doesn't bother me to hear others use them, either. But, I think of intent, of motives. What does a preacher have to gain by it, you see? What is the slang, f****t? Have you ever heard of the political theory called fascism? If you look at pictures of the floor of the Congress, on the wall by the Speaker's chair, on either side, there are symbols. Those are the real f****ts, that's what it means, that the preacher is hoping to bundle all the congregation together and make himself the ax head. We know where that leads, and it's not holiness.

It's safe to say he has had the church for a very long time maybe since the 80s, and he is very wise about things. I just never expected him to use that word. He has a TV program too and on there he seems more like an apologetic.

Like I said, me and this generation is probably too soft. We're probably Satan's biggest targets and he entraps us with oversensitivity.

Your post was interesting until I read about fascism, Congress, the Speaker of the House, etc. You entirely turned me off there, so I can't take the rest of your post seriously.

I'm not sure if you agreeing with me or arguing my point.

If the latter,

I am not saying God's punishment is cruel...indeed it is just, and well deserved. But I don't go around with a smile on my face, chuckling about the eternal doom and horror they will face. I only wish they be saved. Do you Beloved?

I mean how are LGBT supposed to hear the gospel when Christians are using hurtful names to refer to them. Personally, I don't like name calling at all even when people call pedophiles names.

John 8:1-11 Jesus and the Adultress
1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them.
3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group
4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women.
Now what do you say?”
6 They were using this question as a trap,
in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone
at her.”
8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.
10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,”
Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Despite the Mosaic Law that would have condemned this adulteresses to death, Jesus treated her with compassion and refused to condemn her.

The response of this pastor would suggest that his mind-set is more atuned with the "teachers of the law and the Pharisees" and totally lacking in any real understanding of the gospel.

If Jesus, who was without sin, refused to cast the first stone, or condemn the woman, how can this minister justify his actions?
