You haven't identified a problem, so how could we be familiar with it?

1)What version of Linux?
2)What makes you think there is a problem? Paste the error messages.
3)What services do you have running?

Good intrusion detection programs are chkrootkit, tripwire, logcheck, and snort. But first you need to answer 1-3. It won't be helpful to run any programs until we ascertain what, if any, problem you have.
