• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
 • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm trinitarian and fully adherent to the Nicene Creed, but for the reasons Spiritofprophecy states, I don't believe trinitarianism is essential to conservative Christianity, and so I vote no.
Then a NON trinitarian is free to roam this area.

This isn't about knowing all there is to know about God's being, it's about accepting HE IS a Trinity - NOT FIGHTING AGAINST IT AND DENYING IT.

It closes the door to people who will come to argue against His identity - if they deny a Trinity, they also deny Jesus is God, OR they believe there is more than one God. Are you still ok with that?

If they just can't seem to muster up the nerve to sign up here becuz of a Trinitarian clause, then maybe other areas are better designed for them that leave things wide open. We don't have to CHANGE truth to get people in the door here; the forum is already open to them elsewhere.

greetings in the Name of Jesus:

I have enjoyed the words of conservative forum. And respect and honor all those who use and speak in respect in this forum.

But as to Trinity as Rule of Conservative forum. One may believe and think as one Chooses. But I counsel that Trinity is not of Gods words. One can Infer it, or accept it. But If Gods words are pure. Trinity is not of that purity: and would be a doctrine of men.

Nadine said: Which I agree!
Quoting Nadines post:" By claiming Jesus is God. Once Jesus is God, there is an issue of how many Gods are there. since the Father is God."

Trinity does say to many, " how many Gods are there" And the laymen think Jesus is a little God. And Jews then Claim Blasphemy! For there is only One God, and no other Gods before or besides me.

Its why Trinity is not in scriptures. Because people think God is three: and God is One, with many names and faces. of which man Knows three, which witnesses in heaven of man.

I believe Jesus is " God the everlasting Father", and Jesus is " Prince of peace", and " Mighty God". And Jesus Kingdom has not end. Quoting Isaiah 9:6. KJV

should you mandate doctrines not in Scriptures? Should I be forced to accept " Trinity" If I believe Jesus is One true God, and Father?

The Jews and Hebrews are separated from Jesus; because they think Jesus is a second God; In a one God Jewish World. When to me, Jesus is the Alpha and Omega. And the Captain of the Host of heaven, and Chief Priest of the Order of Melchizedek.

I pray Gods spirit shall Guide you all: and pray my words do not offend any.

God bless Christians in forum, and all those who use it.

Spirit of Prophecy, I'm in another thread with you, are you not a Universalist? Who claims all enter heaven becuz all people are already saved ? And THIS IS WHY CREEDS HAD TO BE CREATED.

And yes, due to this forums DOWNFALL of not properly specifying what a Christian does believe (what makes them one as per scripture teaching and identification), for the sake of a forum who proclaims Christ, one MUST mandate identifications and rules.
Otherwise, we have what happened to this forum; an open house free for all in whoever wants to call themselves a Christian.
Christianity is specifically and uniquely identified in the Trinity - 3 as the ONE true God, a Godhead.

One doesn't have to understand a Trinity, but understanding and DENIAL are 2 separate things. Maybe by having that clause, it will cause them to ask & find out how God is Three persons as One God. If it's explained and they DENY that, then I don't WANT THEM as a NONtrinitarian in this section - it's heresy.

Without a Trinity spelled out, we have nontrinitarians welcome to post in rebuttal to God's very being.

No, I'm not. If someone doesn't believe Jesus is God, or believes in more than one God, they don't belong here. But the Trinity is a pretty involved theological doctrine... I can easily see someone being a conservative Christian in every way that counts and still not being able to honestly say they subscribe to it. But I see I'm way outvoted here, and the issue isn't important to me one way or the other; if everyone wants to have that rule, I'm fine with it.

It actually isn't that involved; we can make it more complicated in explanation.

I hope it remains majorly outvoted. It still opens the door to NONtrinitarians- people who deny the Trinity, usually ALSO go on to deny other important Christian doctrines as well.

IMO, it's about accepting that God IS a Trinity without being able to deny it; not fully knowing the fullness of the doctrine.
It's to set a standard for this section - it's not to stand up & proclaim "if you don't understand a Trinity, you're LOST", but to keep heretics from infiltrating it.

I am moving this thread to the debate sub forum while we hammer out the rules we want to have over the debate sub forum. There are one or more posts in this thread which are in violation of CC forum rules. If the members determine that these posts will not be allowed then staff will ask for edits of those posts by the members.

I encourage all CC members to get the rules hammered out so they can be posted.

I also encourage all CC members to use this thread and the others in the debate sub forum to witness to our visitors and help them in their understanding and beliefs so that they can too can follow true biblical teachings.

Okay, you guys...If I read MNPhysicist's memo correctly, then, I can open the rules up per membership request, but a member must update the rules. Then, you need to request that they be closed/snapshotted, whatever...

There was one vote by a non-member that must be disqualified. That voter was Project 86. That means there were 19 Yes votes and 1 No vote or 95% Yes, and 5% No.

Calculations: 19/20=.95 and 1/20 =.05

Opened Rules per member request.

Now, I am not sure how you should do this Hen. Sophia7 has the rules in her post and it is dated. I am thinking that you need to copy the whole thing into another thread, date it, and then add the new rule. Give everyone a chance to read the new rule you have written, and then, I will close it, and sticky it. I will remove the sticky from the old snapshot.

Everyone agree to that plan?

Ok. I will open a new thread containing the new language in bold. It might take me a little bit but I'll finish it this afternoon. I will post the new thread link here when I'm done.

RATS! I wanted to vote yes, but I'm too late. If you can add my vote in, please do. I think that the word Trinity most certainly should be in the FSRs for this forum. :)

Folks are getting ready to add it in now. Poll was overwhelmingly a majority Yes!
