I wonder how the courts (and the ACLU) would respond if one of the homosexual clubs excluded a member of Westboro Baptist Church from membership. Would they then be forced to give up their ASB status?Well as we all know there's always someone somewhere who doesn't like someone else, this is more along the lines of trying to protect people from that dislike. And it would seem that the Courts agreed.
tulc(that Constitution, it's quite the document)
The Supreme Court majority went out of its way to state that they were not ruling on the morality of the matter. The ruling stated that the Boy Scouts are protected under the 1st amendment. The ACLU was part of the effort to deny them that constitutional right. That makes them the bad guys.

ASB?
Are you aware of any homosexual members of the WBC?
No, I'm asking a question -- are you capable of answering it?So are you saying that membership in homosexual clubs on campus is and should be limited to homosexuals?
Would you give full membership rights to such a person into a group that was a pro-black club. Let's say you had a Jr NAACP club on campus. Would you allow full membership to a devout Skinhead? Remember, doing so could allow enough Skinheads to join to actually elect one of them as President of the clubTo some people, being black is a bad thing.
Are you now saying that we cannot have anti-racism laws?
Well, I would presume that the Jr. NAACP club would have rules about how members' conducts must be consistent with the promotion of the rights of African-Americans, so I wouldn't have a problem with the Skinhead being let in.Would you give full membership rights to such a person into a group that was a pro-black club. I would if it had any relevance whatsoever to the discussion. If you can explain the relevance, I'll give an answer. Are you capable of explaining the relevance?
So you would allow the African-Americans to have greater rights in the club that whitesWell, I would presume that the Jr. NAACP club would have rules about how members' conducts must be consistent with the promotion of the rights of African-Americans, so I wouldn't have a problem with the Skinhead being let in.
Yes, that was my question and it had nothing to do with WBC members being homosexual. So you're question seems to lack relevanceIt was your own statement, Mach -- you asked what would happen if a WBC member attempted to join a homosexual club. I was curious or your own relevence (as usual) and want to know if you really knew of such a person.
Do you?

As far as the Truth Bible Club is concerned, it seems that the courts did not agree and the article linked by serious gives the reasons why;
