When you are traveling or your boyfriend or girlfriend is traveling and out of town for an extended period of time (vacation, family, work, etc), how often do you stay in contact? Feel free to expand on your answer.

When you are traveling or your boyfriend or girlfriend is traveling and out of town for an extended period of time (vacation, family, work, etc), how often do you stay in contact? Feel free to expand on your answer.

Well, I guess in your scenario there is no marriage in question.

Also it assumes a lot culturally. For example, I had a neighbor once who during WW2 didn't see his wife for 5 years. She stayed faithful to him, and even lost 2 children during aerial bombing while he was away.

Today we have cellphone and computer and the ballpark is very different about staying in touch.
