Hi everybody,

Does anybody of you know about travailing intercession prayer or are used to pray this way ?
( wrestling with God with physical manifestations such as breathing more rapidly, having pains in stomach, etc... like a woman in travail.)

Please share your experiences if you wish !

Hi,:)

I know what your talking about. I was home alone and worshipping and praising Jesus.........I was also asking him to breath on me and give me the gift of tongues.

I sounded as if I was in labor........my heavenly language was more sounds......The sounds that came out of me were so sad.

Felt as if my soul was crying out to God about how much hurt it was in.....I felt so exposed.

I've never thought it could be used as interrcessory prayer for other things.
I do know that many people will pray in tongues when praying for someone. I haven't done that yet.

TamaraLynne:

Our soul has the testimony of the Lord's grace. Our body, being jealous of the soul, also bears the testimony of the Father's grief. Aren't we created beautifully, both soul and body?

From henceforth let no man trouble me:
for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. (Galatians 6:17)

Though we do not carry the scars of beating, whipping, and stoning as Paul did, we carry a small mark in our body for the Lord Jesus. We are truly honored.
Amen.

Holy Spirit Hovering (Supernatural Childbirth)
- Context for Romans 8:18-28 is travail
- 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. 24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. 26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
1) Creation groans and travails
2) We groan and travail
3) The Spirit groans and travails
- “Groanings” – stenagmos; there are times when my spirit and the Holy Spirit within me
look for expression outside of my understanding and ability.
- Spiritual travail – the Holy Spirit giving birth to something; the new birth, the new creation. His power is released through us, but He is the birthing agent of the Godhead (the Spirit).
- Travailing prayer is intercession which releases the Holy Spirit to bring forth new birth, to create.
- When Paul uses the term “travail”, he is not using a term to describe what happens to us physically. This term is :amen::amen::amen:used to describe what is happening spiritually – that something new is being birthed truly.
- When you think of spiritual travail, don’t think of the flesh, of the physical happenings. Too often, no one thinks of what’s happening in the Spirit.
- You cannot judge what is happening in the Spirit by what you see in the natural.

The Birthing Energies of God
- The Holy Spirit is the power source of the Godhead – He gives life and substance to the will of God in a given situation.

Petition is where we ask God to heal someone.
Intercession is where you identify with someone and ask God to heal us.

In intercession I have asked the Lord to give me part of my client's burden. Suddenly I feel their pains. I lay a hand on them but my hand remains cold. I pray for us. When the symptoms leave me, I stop praying. The client is healed.

But this is risky; you can pick up spirits from the client! You need to pray a cleanup prayer for any unclean spirits you might have picked up after you are done.

Well, I just did some travailing prayer today for about 4 hours. I think at least two hours were in tongues and the rest in my natural tongue. But, I haven't felt stomach pains but I do get bouts of huge emotion where I am pouring my heart out to our heavenly father and start to cry tears. And when I am praying in tongues there are times when the Holy Spirit will start to get louder and louder than other times. Well, I was on the floor today praying in tongues and the Holy Spirit had me moving back and forth. I think that He desires to keep me in motion so that I keep on praying and don't stop, which is an objective in prayer walking also.
