• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Greetings,

Today I had a bind. I had these "rules" that were on me forbidding me to buy a certain item and if I did then I'll lose my salvation.

Well, after speaking to my therapist, I thought that the "rule" was over and I went to buy that item.

But then I realized that I could have missed something after I bought it. Because I missed that one thing, then I just lost my salvation. I then hurried back to the store and returned the item to undo it.

But now I think I lost my salvation. Is this real?

If I decide to buy the item again, will I lost my salvation again? Help

You cant lose your salvation honey! Once you accepted Jesus as savior then all your sins were forgiven. Its by Gods grace you were saved. God hangs on to you its not about you hanging on. God promises nothing in all creation can separate us from Him. God is love and doesnt want you feeling that way at all. Look up spiritual warfare. Your doing fine. Yes I have been where you are and its scary but you have to read the word. Have you ever heard the saying THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE! God bless sweetie your doing fine

If you keep fighting whatever it is that is tempting you, then your Faith will grow stronger and the temptation will hopefully eventually just minimize into noting. But, until then Praise God daily for this page in your book of life -in God's Story.​

Now, just keep the faith and continue to listen to your enter self, (that would the Holy Spirit!) He will stay with you to help you in all matters, just listen and hold on tight to the word. Because They will never leave you!
