Who said she is? There are many, many moving parts to a presidential transition. It seems reasonable to me that the outgoing VP might be involved with at least some of them. Without knowing the specifics of their discussion, it seems a bit premature to be throwing accusations and insinuations around. The VP isn't supposed to be the one leading the team.
There's nothing normal about this situation, where a President has handed off the election to the VP and faded off into the background. This isn't business as usual by a long shot. It's a weird turn of events.Who said she is? There are many, many moving parts to a presidential transition. The scenario in which we got the final presidential matchup was unusual, but there's nothing abnormal about the losing candidate calling the winning candidate to concede or the incumbent Vice President discussing details of the transition with the President-elect.There's nothing normal about this situation, where a President has handed off the election to the VP and faded into the background. Name the last time it's played out the way it has this time around. The scenario in which we got the final presidential matchup was unusual, but there's nothing abnormal about the losing candidate calling the winning candidate to concede or the incumbent Vice President discussing details of the transition with the President-elect.
Lbj says hi. It's unusual but hardly exceptional. Exceptional was 2020 and Trumps refusal to accept the truth. There's nothing normal about this situation, where a President has handed off the election to the VP and faded off into the background. I think you have this all wrong. Harris conceeds, Biden hands over. This is an unusual situation so please don't push the envelope. So there's a bunch of news stories about Harris calling Trump to congratulate, concede and discuss the transition of power.
But isn't that supposed to be President Joe Biden's job?
If Biden really isn't really the President any longer, then they should just swear in Trump ASAP so that we can have an actual acting President in the White House, rather than basically coasting on fumes for the next 75 days.
LBJ was an entirely different situation. A whole lot more people than Trump concluded that the 2020 election process was very weird. 2016 and 2024 ran normally. 2020 did not.Lbj says hi. It's unusual but hardly exceptional. Exceptional was 2020 and Trumps refusal to accept the truth.
That's what I'm saying should take place.I think you have this all wrong. Harris conceeds, Biden hands over.
What am I endangering or in danger of?This is an unusual situation so please don't push the envelope.
So...what will Biden do until January?Traditionally, the losing candidate congratulates the winner and makes a concession speech.
This is different from the specifics of the inaugural ceremony.
Biden will run the country, just as Trump did, after a fashion, in 2020, when he wasn't plotting to overturn the election, betray his oath to uphold the Constitution, etc.So...what will Biden do until January?
Take lots of naps I imagine.So...what will Biden do until January?
"No longer do my job? Malarkey!"If Biden can no longer do his job, the next in line would be Harris, not the president elect.
My guess would be for the same reason that he didn't relinquish his post a year ago and prevent a last minute candidacy of Harris: old politicians being unable to let go of power. Then why doesn’t Joe step down and make Kamala queen for a day?
Not a very good idea to put stock in a Michelle Obama book. You are right about spiritual forces. The prayers of many have finally been answered and corruption in the White House has been evicted. Turns out the prophet Kim Clement was right God did give Trump two terms. Yes I did say God gave. Many liberals will never get their head around that fact,There wasn't a transition in 2016. The FBI tried to give him briefings but he didn't want to be bothered listening. He was rude and ingracious to the Obamas, as Michelle described in her book. His Inauguration speech caused George W Bush to curse, saying ' that's some weird bleep.'
He obviously gets his pre-conceived notions from spiritual forces (remember, spiritual forces can be from God or Satan.)
Jimmy Carter will soon be with God. I hope our holiest, most saintly president can bend God's ear to protect America from the errors of its citizens.
The party removed Joe has a candidate they could have removed him as President. My guess would be for the same reason that he didn't relinquish his post a year ago and prevent a last minute candidacy of Harris: old politicians being unable to let go of power.
Probably. I'm not defending the democrats on this. Biden probably was done halfways through his presidency. I'm not a fan of allegations of dementia, because every president is alleged to have dementia, but at the least he sows mental decline normal for his very advanced age. Being a US president is such a tough job that even I probably don't have the mental fortitude for it, much less a man more than twice as old as me.The party removed Joe has a candidate they could have removed him as President.
Bingo. Which showcases that they never really had any confidence in her at all.If Biden can no longer do his job, the next in line would be Harris, not the president elect.
