When things get tough, I retract inside my mind,
to a tranquil little place that lacks a sense of time -
and I venture to a spot far from the daily grind,
I escape into a new world and leave the old world far behind.

In this new world there’s no judgement, all my senses remain keen
and I sink into a lull- with my precious Higher Being.
Yes, He searches my soul for a heart which is bleeding
for some peace and understanding- we begin our private meeting

Where He fills my empty hull like an empty glass of water
replenishing my spirit through my son and my daughter.
Its rewarding and so worth every ounce of this pain.
From bitterness and anger on my lips I refrain.

Through deep breathing I am restored and fully back to life. I can handle every pressure, every self- brought strife.

Though my actions and my circumstances, hard and unplanned.
My troubles, small compared to Him- with the whole world in His hand.
Through this solitude, my gratitude solidifies grand-
When every nation meets His presence not one knee will dare stand.

My gratitude is met with understanding and content.
Every second of this meeting has been completely well spent.
Without the aftermath created by this quiet interlude,
discontent, regret and doubt would almost surely intrude.

And so,.. .when you find yourself wholly perplexed, read His word and try not to read it
out of context-
Then find a place in private where you can bear your soul-
Give it a chance and you too may find your soul is made whole.
Circumstances in our world we face beyond our control-
Your fate is in your heart- not in your bankroll.

Does God care about money?
He could really care less.
Six figures mean nothing-
He is hardly impressed.
With your money in your hand you will surely go under.
Cause the Lord is not a member of The Fortune 500.

I came out of my trance with a real understanding that the rewards of this life do not come from our planning- the things we acquire and ways we climb the corporate ladder go hand in hand with the things that really don't matter.

What matters is the love and compassion we feel- the importance of perspective to discern what is real. Memories, truth and love these are all you need know-
When you die they are all you get to take with you when you go.

So before you put your kids off trying to reach that glass ceiling-
just remember their faces - weigh out what has more meaning. Use perspective to acknowledge the very fact you've been blessed and check your values and redetermine how you measure success.

Take the time to appreciate this life you’ve been living and before you’re quick to anger remember you’ve been forgiven.
The way He gets to know you is through the time you find- to kneel humble letting Him search your soul, body and mind. Keep anger hate and jealousy wholly confined- if you don’t we are just the blind leading the blind.
