I understand what you are saying. In all honesty I kind of like debate - maybe that is not a good thing, but that is me.

I guess the position I'll take is to let the rest of you decide what is going to happen in this forum - maybe I'll input here and there.

I probably will spend most of my time here as I agree mostly with the traditional viewpoint of Adventism. But I have tried to maintain relationships with those on both sides of the fence so to speak.

One thing though I would like to see the name changed to Seventh Day Adventist.

Hi,

Thanks for the explanation. However we do not need to have the word 'traditional' in the title since the 28 fundamental believes are held by the General Conference.

Also, I'd like to propose that we follow the examples of some of other forums:

The Midnight Cry - Adventist
forum for members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

Let me know if there are other suggestions.

How about:

The Three Angels Message - Adventist
7th Day Adventist
Adventist Seventh Day

I'll try and think of more.

MVA, I like debate too...you know that. I think I've held my own in every debate I've ever had (by the grace of God).

There are PLENTY (and I do mean PLENTY) of places here on CF where you can find debate if you're in the mood for that.

I would like this to be more of a safe haven than what it was before.

If people find us and are mean to us in GT, they'd get in trouble for harassment anyway.

And yes, our name needs to be changed to Seventh-day Adventists!!

Just look at the poll, though. People are ready for a change and for some PEACE.

DL has suggested (in the FSG thread Synger posted) that we limit debate to members and non-members that are seeking to join the SDA church.

If any Traditional Adventists are against that, you need to go to the FSG thread and post an alternative.

What do you guys think about banning any links in our forum posted by non-Adventists? Not just links but links that lead to debate forums about a particular teaching of our church or to other debative message boards, or to the progressive area?
