re: "No one can tell me if that would apply to 'Tradition' as well?"
Perhaps it would help if you could clarify what it is that you are looking for.

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
(2Th 2:15)

I think thats pushing the envelope on that one
Paul convieniently left out a LOT of stuff if thats the case.
Not sure Im buying that he or Christ didnt get recorded on all this ''Tradition'' that seems to be soooooo important to the christian faith by some.
How hard would it have been to toss in a few comments about praying to whatever ''saint'' or whatever else is ''Tradition"
Just seems to be too vague for me if its all that important to salvatoin.

Sick of this life
Not that you'd care
I'm not the only one with
whom these feelings I share
Nobody understands, quite why we're here
We're searchin' for answers
That never appear
But maybe if I looked real hard I'd
I'd see you're tryin' too
To understand this life,
that we're all going through
(Then when she said she was gonna like
wreck my car... I didn't know what to do)
Sometimes I feel like I'm beatin' a dead horse
An I don't know why you'd be bringin' me down
I'd like to think that our love's
worth a tad more
It may sound funny but you'd think by now
I'd be smilin'
I guess some things never change
Never change
BjBarnett said:well they did throw it in. it just wasnt wrote down. or maybe it was wrote down but it just wasnt in the letters selected for the NT canon. the bible isnt a book of "everything to believe" and it does not say that it is the sole authority. like i said no where in the bible does it teach sola scripture and it does say that we are to hold to the traditions taught by the apostles by oral and written words
pm37 said:Let us get to the root of the matter shall we? The Catholic church has many traditions. Arguments for these traditions have been refined over hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years by staunch Catholics. The arguments have been solidified and anyone who has been a Catholic for even a short time speaks the same arguments. Putting this aside, how shall a man be just before God? Can you tell me?

Its pretty vague guy.
Sorry, but I cant base doctrine on something like that little bit.
You claim this is talkig about YOUR tradition.
I personally dont think that it is.
BjBarnett said:what do you mean "just before God"?
BjBarnett said:honest question here YahwehLove i hope this doesnt sound like a baiting question but...
what tradition do you think its talking about? or what do you think it means?
pm37 said:Just, that is, justified. How shall a man be justified before God?
