Victory at last! CNBC is reporting that the US and Mexico have finally struck a trade deal. This will officially replace the 24 year old NAFTA. President Trump has called this the United States-Mexico trade deal. Canada, will now have no choice but to play ball. Praise the Lord:).

CNBC is reporting that the President may authorize tariffs on an additional $200 billion of Chinese imports. The only way to negotiate with hardened Communist governments is to break them. That may actually liberate the Chinese people. There should be more tax breaks and federal subsidies to tide over any domestic impact:).

CNBC is reporting that the President is again threatening to pull out of the WTO if it doesn't reform itself. Treating China like a third world nation following archaic rules and letting them get off with massive surplus is criminal. The world has to stop sympathizing with trade aggressors and help the true victims:).

Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer has declared that the President has informed Congress (Congress will have to approve any trade deal) that he intends to seal a trade deal with Canada and Mexico within the next 90 days. Although, Canada and the EU have been just as bad as China on trade I admire the President's deft touch in handling the allies:).

CNBC is reporting that the President is "ready to go" with an additional $267 billion in tariffs on Chinese imports in addition to the $200 billion announced today. Collapse of the Chinese market and weakening of their economy seems to have emboldened the President. This pressure is absolutely necessary to break the Chinese stubbornness and force them to negotiate equitably:).

CNBC is reporting that the US and Canada have reached an agreement on replacing NAFTA. The new deal will be called the USMCA (United States - Mexico - Canada) trade pact and takes care of enforcement issues along with an equitable deal to American farmers and workers. The three countries will sign the deal in November, which will then be submitted to Congress for ratification. My congratulations to the President and his team. Most importantly, praise the Lord for granting justice to working class Christian families :).

from above article:

"But fast-growing Asia is quickly becoming such a large market that expanding trade within the region can help offset lost exports to the U.S., he said."

"Intraregional trade in Asia is as high as almost 50 percent of total trade and this seems to be increasing over time," he told The Associated Press in a phone interview. "Asia used to be a global factory and everyone viewed Asian economies as suppliers, but if we look, more than half of the global middle class is living in Asia."

Reuters is reporting that China will cut import duties on textiles, and metals including steel products to 8.4% from 11.5% effective November 1, 2018. The pressure seems to be working :).

The President has tweeted that he had "long and very good conversation" with Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding trade. He also confirmed that they'd be meeting at the G-20 meeting at Buenos Aires. Praying that both the Chinese and American people would be spared further tariffs.

Bloomberg is reporting that the President has asked administration officials to draft a "possible trade deal" with China. CEA Larry Kudlow seems to have contradicted this report. However, he did confirm that the two Presidents would be discussing trade in Argentina, and that the US is awaiting specific responses to it's "asks." The Chinese President will be making a major speech next week announcing more imports. In his latest comments (per CNBC) the President confirmed that the US and China are closer to a trade deal. It seems that the President is actually seeking a meaningful deal. Wheels are turning, praise the Lord:).

Bloomberg is reporting that Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Chinese Vice Premier Liu He have spoken over the phone for the first time in months. Although, the meeting didn't produce any substantive results Vice Premier Liu is expected to visit Washington soon before the President's trip to the G-20 and a possible meeting with President Xi. Let's pray for some positive outcomes:).

CNBC is reporting that the White House has curtailed the public profile of Prof. Peter Navarro, the China hawk and the President's trade adviser. This is an apparent victory for CEA Larry Kudlow. Although any deal with China could be diluted if Prof. Navarro doesn't have a free hand, it may be better than no deal.

CNBC is reporting that the President may not impose further tariffs on China. It's also expected that some sort of a "trade deal" could happen later this month in Buenos Aires where the two heads of state are scheduled to meet on the sidelines of the G20 summit. I guess the Chinese have been punished enough, maybe its time to let diplomacy resume:).

Marketwatch is reporting that Prof. Peter Navarro will be excluded from the upcoming trade talks with China. This is probably a sign that the President is seeking a deal. I feel some compromised deal is better than no deal and a raging trade conflict which is already hurting American farmers.

I agree with many of the things shared in the OP as encouraging signs for the country, but is this the place for it? The thoughts shared are "Non-denominational" in general, as the section states, but I thought Non-denom. is about religion??? Maybe the subjects stated would do better on the Politics and National Affairs section???
