Tourniquet!!!

Anybody hear of Tourniquet? Their music is incredible, esepcially their last 2 releases "Microscopic View of a Telescopic Realm" and "Where Moth and Rust Destroy". It's been referred to as classical metal with touches of speed, thrash, and hardcore. It's the best metal there is IMHO. Luke Easter has an awesome metal voice... he can yell and he can sing great. I forget who the guitar player is but he rocks. But the founding member of the band, Ted Kirkpartrick, is the man! He is one of the best Christian drummers in the world. He has some sick off timing / technical drumming techniques that just blow me away. You gotta check this band out.

heard of them, seen their cds, just havn't listened to their music, although i am curios as to what they are like. maybe this will get me to listen to them.

This Tourniquet isn't a song; it's a band.

Tourniquet has been around quite a while, since 1990, I think. They are a good, solid band, Ted kirkpatrick is the founder and leader. Tourniquet, IMO, can stand up to most secular Heavy metal fairly easily. They do lots of tempo changes during their songs (ala Iron maiden, among others) and the guitar playing on most albums could remind one of Metallica! to top that all off, lyrically, the message is always God-centered, no matter the "strange" titles of their albums and songs. It sounds like something my dad would listen to. And that's not really a dis...cause my dad listens to some thrashing stuff. Not bad, not my speed, but not bad anyhow.

Yes very good band!!! Their first couple releases are great, but their more recent stuff isn't good, IMHO. They went from heavy and fast to slow. Great thrash metal band though.
