I know we have an ADHD/ADD forum which I love, but I would love to have a Christian Tourette's syndrome forum so people who have Tourette's can give and receive Christian help and advice.

I have Tourette's syndrome for 23 years now and I would love to be a part of a forum that helps people who struggle with it. If you guys feel led to pray and see if it's God's will to add a tourettes syndrome forum then I think that would be a great addition to Christian Forums!

Thanks for reading this. I appreciate it.

Hi Brothers and Sisters,
Ive had Tourettes for 40 years now and as a Christian it drives me mad. I also have the addictive part of TS which caused me to smoke and drink heavily for years. I still smoke but the drinking has come under control. It really is one day at a time with TS and the compulsions range from wierd to the ridiculous. I even doubted my faith at one point because I felt that I must not really be a Christian because God has not healed me of this affliction and with addiction aspects it must be me who is not filled with the changing Holy Spirit. I don't believe that any more, I do believe that some changes take a long time and that some may never come.

Christian's with TS, fantastic! I thought I was the only one!!! Praise God, He thinks of everything.

Hi My name is Barry and i am one of the founders of Neuro Dynamics, May i ask if you have tried Hypnotherapy and NLP, The reason i say this is because i work With kids who suffer from Tourettes Syndrome and have for some years now.

At the moment i am working with identical twins who both suffer from Tourettes, Now im not by any means saying it is a cure, but what i am saying is i can help them control it, to the point that you really notice massive change in the child.

I have worked with numerious cases of Tourettes and its kind of my specialty area when it come to Hypnosis and NLP. I have had amazing amounts of success with it, so much so that we put a programme together which is four sessions of two hours, within the first week the difference begins to show in most cases not all but most.

Not only do we help them but we also give them tools to take home and use. it is pretty amazing the results with Tourettes Syndrome and Hypnotherapy/NLP.

Now i am not by any means trying to get custom of any kind especially as you live in USA as we are based in the uk.i do honestly feel for you and understand how difficult it can be at times. What i am suggesting is cant you find a Hypnotherapist or Master Practitioner of NLP from your country who can help. I do know in the UK it seems that not many people will chance it if you will, some hypnotherapists specialise in different areas, i.e smoking, weight loss etc. I personally specialise in childrens behaviour and Tourettes Syndrome with much success.

I would highly recommend you see a Hypnotherapist/ NLP Practitioner, as its not only a Neurological problem, its an anxiety problem. one of our websites is actually called. helpfortourettes.com if you visit the site and scroll down you will actually see Paul Mckenna helping a man that suffers from Tourettes Syndrome. because of the 1952 Hypnotism act they cant show all of the methods but you will get a general idea of how affetive Hypnotherapy and NLP can be.

The quicker you act the better it can become and kids can grow out of it. if you have any questions are i can help in anyway please feel free to contact us and we will help you in any way we can.

Good luck

warmest regards Barry

I have a son with Tourette's and would love to start a forum. The only thing I won't be able to stand is if someone chimes in that it's demonic possession. I've seen people put in their two cents that that's what Tourette's is and I can't think of anything more insulting or hurtful than to say that. So if we can have logical, intelligent conversations about what it is, which is basically a neurological disorder, I'm in!

Nope, you're not the only one! And your Tourette's has nothing to do with your spiritual condition. My son is a Christian and has it. It make my blood boil when I hear other Christians say something idiotic like it's demonic possession. Neurological disorder, pure and simple. My boy may never grow out of it. You may always have it. And it's OK. God loves you right where you're at!
