  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We all go through very to tough times. But we all have to make it through tough times. When going through these tough times just always trust in god and prey regularly. Sometimes god might be testing us and making us into stronger people. Just trust in god he will always be there for you. ;)

My grandfather has quoted Seneca to me in saying that "difficulties strength the mind, as labor does the body" when I've gone through challenging struggles. Maybe persevering through this rough time in your life will fortify you so that in the future when you're faced with difficulties instead of feeling overwhelmed by them you'll know you have the ability to make it through them.

I don't know why you're in the horrible situations you're in now. Job suffered through no fault of his own. I've gone through things that have just happened without any reason I could see, like being diagnosed with a medical condition. Try to remember these verses in Romans:

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

God bless you! :)

Sister, as believers, we are going through this wilderness to get to our promised land. The way will be tough, and God doesn't promise to erase all troubles from now to death. He does promise to be with us. This world is fallen, and bad things do happen to everybody. For our strength, we need the manna of God to keep going--the Word. The Bible is the manna of God for the believer. Some may think that's old-fashioned, and completely end up disregarding the Bible, but it really is 'manna'. Prayer is important.

But like the sister above said, sometimes things happen to us for no reason. I don't know what you're going through, and what I said may be completely off topic. (lol.) However, I just want to encourage you to get into the secret place with God. Pray to him and just tell God what's going on in your life. It helps to find another Christian much more experienced in the faith for counseling or guidance. I often find myself talking with and asking questions to ministers that visit my church from other communities and seeking their guidance on issues. It led to some pretty deep discussions that's often left me really encouraged. So it does help to ask questions and just seek guidance from older Christians.
