Oh trust me, I have, havent got an answer back yet. But just the act of "wasting" seed is a sin? Thats not even logical. Sperm dies, period, it has a pre-set lifespan and it will die, doesnt matter if its inside you or on the ground, it WILL die. So whats the difference?Hooch said:Hey- I didn't write the Good Book- I just know what is in it.
If you have a problem with it- take it up with the Author.
Ok, if an egg is something that produces another egg, what is a seed?Antoninus Verus said:Oh trust me, I have, havent got an answer back yet. But just the act of "wasting" seed is a sin? An egg has the POTENTIAL to produce something tha will produce annother egg. A seed is the same, it has the POTENTIAL to produce something that can produce annother seed.kedaman said:Ok, if an egg is something that produces another egg, what is a seed?
True, but anything has the potential to produce an egg, unless you explicitely talk about something that doesn't produce an egg. If I throw a dice, it has the potential to produce the outcome six. However if you predict by the thrown angle and velocity and other factors involved, you could say that the outcome six is very improbable but not impossible. Potential and probability is in the eye of the beholder. The question is, how useful is such an interpretation for the scripture? Do you think Jesus played games with statistics?Antoninus Verus said:An egg has the POTENTIAL to produce something tha will produce annother egg. THANK you, you said what I tried to say but said it better.Lokisdottir said:Um, what?
This isn't about chance and probability. It's about potential. An egg can become a person, but only if it encounters a sperm cell. Likewise, a sperm cell can become a person, but only if it encounters an egg. Unless these conditions are fulfilled, this potential is wasted.
The only rolling of dice that could be involved would be to determine whether or not fertilization actually takes place when these two factors meet.
Oh, and to the person who spoke against spilling seed, remember that if a male does not touch, have sex, or otherwise "let it out," the excess buildup of sperm will be released when he urinates.
The only way to avoid this would be to get married and start having sex as soon as soon as the little buggers learn how to swim, which I believe happens at around age 12-14. It would also mean having sex on a very regular basis for the rest of your life, which for most men just isn't feasible. What if you become a widower? Depending on your views about remarrying, you could really be in a LOT of trouble!
How do you figure that?Hooch said:As long as no seed is wasted- all touching is ok. If touching causes seed to be wasted- it is sinful.

Ah, allright. A night of both would be fun. Never said it wouldnt be, but I enjoy cuddling with her more. I decline to answer if we have or have not had sexChrono Traveler said:jer is saying why would you not have a night of both cuddling and making love.
