Touch Screen for Art Purposes.

Anybody have an All In 1 touchscreen ? Could tell me if the touch can be used as a paintbrush for art and photo manipulation the same way as a mouse? This is something I have a talent for but a mouse is just to awkward. If not a touch screen, does anybody know what I can use? :confused:I have limited funds and it has to be from Dell. I appreciate any help - your answer may be saving me from making a mistake. Thank you.

I dunno, I've never tried one. Mice are clumsy for art purposes, unless you've trained with one and really know the Pen tool in Photoshop/Illustrator well. Wacom tablets are much better. I await the day when tablet PCs have the sensitivity to angle, pressure, and stroke that the Wacom Intuos line has had for years. That day might not be far off.

Guess I'll find out in a few weeks. I ordered 1 from dell. I think I drove the chat agents up the wall - I asked so many questions. Sound silly to be excited over a computer, but I wanted a computer I could do paint and photo manipulation with for years.

It could, depends on how professional. The biggest difference I think is resistive and capacitive touch screen. Resistive = the screen depends on press pressure, capacitive = the screen depends on touch (more expensive).

If you are a dedicated artist, you want to get a wacom (expensive)...eitherwise any touch screen would do.
