Physical Appearance: Tosan is a huge man, 7' 2" tall and very muscular with skin tanned dark brown by a lifetime spent outdoors. His face is very open and trusting, with plain features and dull brown hair cut short. His innocent features, large size and apparent clumsiness all serve to give the appearance that he is a simpleton, however behind his storm grey eyes lurks a keen intelligence. People usually form one of two opinions of him when they see him: they either assume he's simple and ignore him, or they are extremely threatened by his size. He prefers to roam the wilderness rather than frequent towns, only venturing in to sell skins so that he can buy supplies only available in town. He wears a rusty-brown bearskin cloak and deerskin pants. He also wears leather buskins because he doesn't spend much time in towns.
Personality: Tosan is quiet and quite introverted, his mostly solitary occupation suits him. He can often appear aloof and unfriendly because of his quiet nature. He is fiercely loyal to his friends, and is a man of high honour and morals.
Skills: master scout, woodsman and tracker. Although he has passable talent with a sword, his real gift is with a a quarterstaff, as it doubles as walking stick while in the wilderness. He carries a staff that he carved himself, with detailed designs and patterns engraved on it. The staff is actually a steel rod encased in a shaft of wood and any smaller man would struggle to carry it, let alone wield it as skillfully as Tosan. However he prefers to avoid fighting wherever he can and only uses violence as a last resort. He also carries a bow, but is only an average marksman.
Background:
Tosan is from a small kingdom just south of the territory of which Farselm is a part. Because of his woodmanship skills and size he often roams outside his own territory, learning what is going on in other regions. There is often accidents that happen in places where he has been, particularly accidents that affect the military capabilities of the nation, but he has never been linked to anything.
