• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was kidnapped and tortured. Even though I was not disfigured I realized I was still tortured very badly through ritual abuse. It was still torture to me and a part of me has died because of it. I will refer to my torture alot in my posts. I feel it will be healing to me to describe it as torture and to pray for others who have been tortured in any way in the world.
I looked it up and torture is defined as:
Torture - the action or practice of inflicting severe pain on someone as a punishment or to force them to do or say something, or for the pleasure of the person inflicting the pain.

I feel that torture was what I experienced and I will often pray about healing the world from torture. It is something I am now passionate about and will write about often. Torture is very painful to experience and destroys the person who experiences it. Mine was psychological and physical torture. Some types of psychological torture is described bellow. I experienced some of these. It was very painful. I also was physically tortured.
  • Blackmailing.
  • Exploitation of phobias; e.g., mock execution, leaving arachnophobes in a room full of spiders.
  • Being subjected to interrogation for long periods.
  • Sleep deprivation.
  • Solitary confinement.
  • Sensory deprivation.
  • Threat of permanent, severe disfigurement.
  • Pharmacological torture.
Please pray for my healing from torture and healing of others in the world who are tortured.

I know of a woman who was abused by a family member. She was tortured and raped from 10 years of age and eventually gave birth to a child when she was only just 12 years old. Today she is a born again mother of 6. She enjoys a life in Christ that began for her at the age of 30. She is my beautiful wife.
I can only say that when I heard about her suffering I thought that mine was nothing in comparison. As a young man I used to bring up my childhood abuse that was extreme enough for three siblings to have taken their own lives at 16, 18, and 24. I quit mentioning it. But I know that sorrow and tears feel the same no matter where in our world one lives.
May you have mercy upon mercy and have courage upon courage to be the kind of human being God created you to become in Christ Jesus' Name of whom I believe and represent in my own little ways.
