CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yup, all but one have to lose eventually. It was a good season for the Leafs... and now I can go back to despising them.

I hate the leafs...use to be a HUGE fan, watched pretty much every game. Its disappointing when they lose out on the cup year after year...not even making it to the finals. Plus, it doesn't help that they play the game horribly whenever we're just about to get eliminated from the playoffs. There's that year when we played against philly, and was scored on 6 times in game 7. Another year, we lost the series to the Canes in the semi-finals. How on earth did that happen???? Then there was that year against the Devils, think it was also game 7 and we only managed 13 goals on net. I think the year following that, the Devils also beat us outta the playoffs AGAIN. Oh yah, I cannot begin to describe my hate towards the Devils...but I guess I would have to post that somewhere else cause this is the thread for leaf haters. I also hate the leaf fans in this city cause they actually believe the leafs are going to win the cup when in fact the team as a whole pretty much sucks. There's only a total of like 5 players that can play and the rest is pretty much garbage. Karberle really needs to stop being a baby, and actually deliver some hits. I pretty much feel indifferent towards Belfour and Sundin, but I guess they are decent players. Without them, the leafs really don't have much going. Alex Mognily...very talented, that's all I have to say about the guy, but he's also an ex-devil. Gary Roberts...probably my favourite leafs player on the team....really like his aggressive style of play.
I guess it doesn't really matter cause there's no hockey this season...that pretty much sucks. I guess there's always next year...

Ahhhh, now that was a GREAT post. I'm all for the "love your brother" stuff.... but not when it comes to the Leafs.... sorry Draper, that's another point for the good side of the force.... welcome to the forums Cracks
