I would like to know what three animes you like best. The reason I would like to know this is because I have been watching anime for 1.5 years but only what they play on TV.

Actually I like anime with style, in that it has a particular look and feel that is intreguing. Hellsing, for instance, is not particularly mysterious, but it creates an atmosphere like none other. RahXephon is also a very loaded in atmosphere. Eva, on the other hand, repeatedly destroys its own atmosphere in the later episodes. The early ones were great (especially the fight against the angel done entirely to a musical piece) but the later ones were scatterbrained. Noir I've heard is good, but I haven't had a chance to watch it.Blessed-one said:looks like you like mysterious animes, Phoenix. Me and bro can't really understand Rahxephon but we've got a friend who likes it very much. He also likes evangelion and is interested in Noir.
I'm literally stunned at how different our tastes are.armed2010 said:1.Azumanga Daioh. Its extremely cute at many points, and very funny at others times. The entire series is just so well done and has prettymuch gained a permanent spot as my #1 favorite anime. The social interaction is very good and each character is very well developed. Chiyo-Chan forever!!!
2. Chobits. Very very funny, and Sumomo is hilariousI am now dedicated to someday purchasing an exact replica of Sumomo when the technology exists. This was a very good anime.
3. Love Hina. Very funny, and it honestly has become a fantasy of mineLiked all the characters and it had many hilarious jaw dropping moments.
Hellsing is all about atmosphere. Perhaps style isn't the right word, it's a sense of immersion, a gestalt that the anime achieves. Hellsing is dark, yes, and the plot is certainly weak in points, but the dialogue, soundtrack, and animation combine to create a mood like none other. It also helps that the villains don't stop for long pointless chats or leave gaping holes in their plans. The entire thing creates an effect that's really unique.Blessed-one said:anime with style Phoenix? i'm sure others have their own styles too, the ones you like are just a bit.. out of the blue?i can never stand Hellsing, the atmosphere is too dark for me, literally.
*clap Kelly on the back* someone who appreciates Laputa, ya!!
