Here's the top 25 rock albums of all time, according to rock music historian Piero Scaruffi. Don't know if any of you will appreciate this, but if you like the more experimental side of rock music, this thing is filled with interesting records you might not hear of otherwise. It doesn't really reflect bias towards any particular genre, either. There's punk, hardcore, art-rock, folk-rock, krautrock, pop, gothic, progressive rock and much more here. Give it a look-see :)

1. Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band- Trout Mask Replica
2. The Velvet Underground- The Velvet Underground and Nico
3. Robert Wyatt- Rock Bottom
4. Faust- Faust
5. The Doors- The Doors
6. Popol Vuh- Hosianna Mantra
7. Pere Ubu- The Modern Dance
8. Royal Trux- Twin Infinitives
9. John Fahey- Fare Forward Voyagers
10. Nico- Desert Shore
11. Tim Buckley- Lorca
12. The Red Crayola- Parable of Arable Land
13. Klaus Schulze- Irrlicht
14. Nick Cave- The Good Son
15. Lisa Germano- Geek the Girl
16. Morphine- Good
17. Bob Dylan- Blonde on Blonde
18. Neu!- Neu!
19. Foetus- Nail
20. Suicide- Suicide [First Album]
21. Van Morrison- Astral Weeks
22. The Residents- Not Available
23. Pop Group- Y
24. Vampire Rodents- Lullaby Land
25. Husker Du- Zen Arcade

Where is Revolver? Where is Abbey Road? Where is Pet Sounds? Do you really think the 25 greatest albums of all time could overlook the Beatles and the Beach Boys?

Ummm......... why not? I won't say anything about the Beach Boys, because I haven't heard Pet Sounds, but you already know what I think of the Beatles. Also, this is not my top 25. I just thought it was an interesting one. I still disagree with some of it. Number 3, for instance (Robert Wyatt's Rock Bottom) is a really silly, pretentious and not very good album, IMO.

You haven't heared Pet Sounds ............WOW man I envy your future experience.............The Beach Boys have been imitated by fewer bands than only the Beatles.........Pet Sounds is perfection......nearly all written played , produced and mixed by the genius Brian Wilson....If you get the chance see the film about their life....very moving.
