  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I imagine that pointing out already-defunct arguments against evolution would help creationists discard them and find better ones. If these are top 10 no wonder I'm an evolutionist. Oh well. I'm obviously rather bad at constructive criticism so I'll just sign off from Creationists and go back to Origins where disagreeing in itself isn't rude. ;)

What are your top ten evidences against evolution?

10. Apes are still apes dispite the fact we evolved circles around them while living in the same geological area for millions of years.

9. Absolute dating reveals that Mt. St. Helen's errupted over a million years ago.

8. The fossil record shows long periods of stasis ( things don't change much) and the sudden emergance of dramatic evolutionary changes for no reason.

7. Living systems can evolve back to their original condition and back again.

6. Darwin taught that there was a such that thing as a sub-species of humans and no such thing exists.

5. Chimpanzees use sticks to eat termites, humans don't

4. Single celled organisms cannot organize into vital organisms.

3. Bacteria cannot become eukaryotes because they can't develop a nucleous to house their DNA, no matter how much they would like to.

2. No living system can establish 4 nucleotides a year for 10 million years genome wide without becoming extinct.

And the number one evidence against evolution..[a drum roll please]

1. There is no demonstrated or directly observed mechanism for evolving one species into an altogether different kind.

I wish we would have had eleven choices, I would have added that the ressurection is an historical fact by every measure of scientific confirmation of an historical fact known to man. It's a shame this one didn't make the top ten, its a really good one but evolutionary biology is far more important then God raising Christ from the dead you know. It's only the basis for our hope of salvation and faith in the power of God to save us from our sins.

Grace and peace,
Mark

P.S. I can sling satire with the best of them. ;)
