I will have my back right bottom molar (which is called #31) extracted because it got loose and broke all the way through, so just doing a root canal to treat the resulting bacterial infection is, sadly, not possible. One of my top molars will get a crown. They are both on the same side so I will get everything done at the same appointment. That is tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10:00 ET. I am dreading all the discomfort that comes not only with the surgery itself, but also living with only 27 teeth. The dentist thinks it will take one month to adjust. That will be a very hard four weeks if he is right. The dentist ruled out giving me an implant and removing the tooth above it for one reason: neither procedure is necessary.

Please pray for my cooperation with the staff and acceptance of my situation, as well as not feeling severe pain unless God wants me to hurt. Ask Him to speed up my recovery and ability to eat and drink without a weird feeling because a tooth is missing - a sensation I know will be felt.

I was already taking amoxicillin and have to take it two more days.

Surprisingly, I was sent home with pills that are both Advil and Tylenol. Yep - two drugs in one pill. That is not helping much, even though I took both pills at the same time.
