If you know someone like this in real life or the dream world realize this person is a fake. A doppleganger and impostor trying to gain your confidence for their own selfish purposes.

A doppleganger is an impostor - it/he/she will suck you in telling you, you are one of the "special" ones who, understand, and, if you question often the dg will cry as if you've harmed it/he/she that is only a ploy to make you stop, gain your sympathies and draw you back in.

Are you making this stuff up? I've never heard of a doppleganger before, but if someone did that in a dream world, then that would mean it was spawned from the person having the dream... It sounds a little out there to me.

I'd say the people you meet in dreams are, at worst, no more "fake" than an actor playing a role.
What they say may be right, may be wrong, just like what we say here in the waking world. They may be trying to gain your confidence. It may be for selfish reasons. The same could be said of your insurance salesman. In fact, at times it could be properly said of you and me.

I have to apologize the analogy I'm using is a stretch and a bit confusing. What I'm here calling "doppleganger" are people on the forum using various forms of manipulation and posing as two or more persons.

It's confusing ... my fault I should have used another analogy ... busted!
