And as for them being blasphemous, well yeah, some of their songs really are, I just don't listen to those songs.

Btw, in my oppinion, its ok? to blasphemise in the form of art. Art is based on human emotion, feeling, or experience. We can't help how we feel, why should we hold back on our artistry.

If you were to see some of my lyrics in songs i wrote, you'd think satan was my best friend. Which he's not. Now you're wondering why a christian would write blaspehmy, well, im not really christian anymore, sadly. I'm more like agnostic, I kinda think i've always been. The thing is, i believe, but i wont live it. Thats another story.

I'm not a massive fan... but man they rock. Lateralus is my favourite album (read: the only album I've heard in it's entirety).
I've heard songs from other albums, but Lateralus is in my opinion the most correct blend of each instrument. And it is so incredibly interesting, and unusual for there to be Lead Drums. The drummer of that band, not sure of his name, is one of the most talented I've ever heard.

Lateralus is a great concept album. It took me a while to "understand" it. Also, Schism seemed to me as talking about the great schism of the catholic church.
But my favorite song is Hooker with a penis. The lyrics are funny.

tool is awesome. i have problems with the guys in the band, although they are amazing artists, they are really into the occult, and alot of dark stuff. i greatly appreciate their music.
their music is very complex. it's really deep. it's awesome. i play drums and guitar, and danny carey (drummer of tool) blows my mind.

i listen to them for the music not the lyrics. their overall message is to reject conformity. think for yourself. i don't think that's a bad message, but they do say some things that i believe are "christ-bashing".

a very controversial band... i don't even know if i should listen to them... but i do. and i love their music. many christians would frown upon it.
anyway.... their music is truly art.

tool is very deep. i think that they are one of the most talented groups out there... danny carrey is one of my favorite drummers.
they are really into some dark stuff though. some of their lyrics, i believe, directly mock jesus. Lateralus is a good album though.
overall, their message is good... "think for yourself, don't conform", they have made a few mistakes in how they go about saying it.
they are also really deep into the occult... if you want to know more about that, go to their official website and read danny carrey's bio. it's pretty freaky.
but they are way talented.

I absolutely love Tool and have been a fan since I was in 7th grade. Their music is awesome and I love music where you can feel the artist's emotions in the song. One of my best friends stopped listening to them a couple years ago because she claimed they were devil-worshipping. I like A Perfect Cirlce also and was going to go to their concert but I got sick
