  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Too many temptations?

Dear Servant.Dujmov.Jr. I read in your profile that Grandma Warren had such wonderful and good influence in your life. I ask this humbly: if the world was full of such outstandingly Good People, would your life, as well as many others, have been less unhappy and wretched?
Good question. The answer is, of course. If the world was full of Godly people; giving love and caring for the needs of everyone else, regardless of race, gender, religous choice and even regardless of sinner or saved; of course the world would be a better place for everyone.
I pray, in Jesus name that one day it will soon be.

It can be done, Dujmov.Jr, if we really try. We have time on our side, and Love is very catching, soon people will treat us as we treat them. I say this with love. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
Amen! May the love of God, become an epidemic that infects the whole world :)

Peace unto you
Steve

Dear John 3:17. Matthew, chapter 22, verses 35-40, tells us that Jesus told a Lawyer: " The first and great Commandment is: Love thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The second is like it: Love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Pophets." God wants our Love, selfless and no conditions asked. We live in an imperfect world, where temptations surround us day and night, what better way to learn to overcome temptations? It is like being thrown in the deepend, we have to learn to overcome temptations and learn to love God with all our beings, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. Jesus will give us His Love and Joy to share with others, and the Holy Spirit will empower us with His Love. Jesus told us to " ask and receive," God will give us what we need, to share with eachother. A Christian`s greatest help is our love to learn to fight all adversity, and temptations. And how do we start? By treating all we know and all we meet, as we would love to be treated: with kindness and consideration, with helping hands and friendly encouragements, No angry words and looking the other way, always being a good neighbour. We will find that people will treat us the same, and life will become more interesting. We will not notice those many temptations, we will be too busy to enjoy a good laugh, or any interesting news. To be helpfull is to be accepted as friends, and what is more easy than show the world what God can do, and how He will bless us. But we have to do the first step, we have to ask the Lord to help us, and we will notice how God will approve. Unless we try we will never know. Temptations are traps for idle hands and idle minds, and all it takes to start: a friendly smile and helping hand. I say this with love, John. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ. P.S. Let Love be our weapon, and let the Lord lead us on.

Turn off the TV, unplug the computer, and find yourself some godly friends.

It's not so drastic a step as you might think.

99% of TV is the way of the world. TV does not reflect the bible very often, usually only in what the bible says not to do does it reflect it.
