Tolkien's description of the weather in various locations is fantastic. Trees floating rootless in a morning mist. So many very simple sentences that describe so much. He had met Strider though cuz they brought him to Rivendell after that and Strider (Aragorn) told Arwen to take him cuz she was the faster rider. Just re-watched that first movie a few days ago. We have the long versions with all the extra scenes.![]()
