To be honest, saying things like "your kind" while lumping me in with someone clearly not like me in the way we're discussing is a bit nasty.

I can understand the desire to lump all Christians together if you have been attacked by people calling themselves Christians. Please understand however there are many different beliefs within the Christian Community.

I think you misunderstand. There are many denominations for a reason: Christians disagree on lots and lots of stuff.

In that was, we are not of one mind on everything and therefore not just one "kind"

I see no reason why you should be considered sub-human or inhuman. That notion is cruel and downright ridiculous. I am sure that you and I, even though we do not share the same faith in any way, have plenty in common.

For those displaying to you anything less than Godly love, you have my embarrassment and apology.

Know that "your kind" isn't accurate because even we Christians are all different.

Another Christian may feel Tolkien's works are sinful and burn them. I, on the other hand, have a decent collection and know a wee bit of Sindarin! See? Different!
