We are reaching the toddler stage. It’s a new one. Baby is a toddler according to age, but as far as language, coordination, and cognitive skills, he is more like 9ish months. He can sign for milk, he can say mama, and he can say uh oh. He is tall enough and coordinated enough to empty cupboards and drawers but does not have the awareness to help put it back. Hopefully soon! I am working with him on it. He has also reached the toddler “mine!” Stage. He definitely puts up a fight when something is taken away! He has been growing in leaps and bounds. It’s a lot of work but I love him! Just don’t judge my messy home..

Aww, enjoy it, as much as you can lol. It goes by all too fast.
Try and distract him with something else when you need to take something away.

Yes, that’s what I tell my older son too. The baby is much more stubborn that my first, I think.

Four and one year old here. God speed mama. The messy house sort of stresses me out some days, but every mom I know says the same.

That’s our age gap too! Although baby is going to be 2 in a couple months.

He is developing so quickly! He has words for his favorite things and is a little parrot. Recently he has decided he wants to potty train, so I need to figure out how to do that.

That is awesome. My daughter is four and I'm having to start being a little firm with her. She just doesn't want to sit on the potty and tried everything. Consistency is the key. I'm trying not to stress too much about it. She goes to preschool, so she will eventually get it. I just need to pray more for her to start taking an interest.

So sweet about new words. My one year old is close. He says some.

Now I have another toddler! The one I originally posted about is a big 4 yr old now. He is a busy busy boy!! He is super creative and always keeps me on my toes. My daughter is a year and a half now. She is busy trying to keep up with her brothers.

Goodness you've got a busy household! One thing I loved about this age is that the claps, smiles, hugs, praise as rewards for putting their toys back on the shelf, etc is so easy.

But as posted earlier- enjoy them.

Yes, she claps for herself every time she puts something in a container lol
