  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi,

Does anyone know of a Vegetarian Vitamin supplement for toddlers? Preferably in liquid form or easily chewable tablets. I bought Pedia Vites from Michael's Health only to find out the Vitamin A is derived from fish oil. Yuck! Also need the Vitamin D to be "Ergo" if possible.

Thank you :)

Hmmm... I guess the main questions are:

- what country are you in?
- what vitamins do you actually need? Is his/her intake low in anything specific?

Hi Evangelina,

We live in the USA. My two-year-old daughter's Pediatrician recommended that perhaps she take a multi-vitamin supplement. I'm looking for something purely Vegan, but, have only come across vitamins with A from fish oil and D from Sheep cholesterol. We are Lacto (and occasionally Lacto-Ovo) but prefer Vegan supplements.

My daughter actually eats really good. She gets a well-balanced diet. I guess my preference would be a liquid supplement.

Thank you

Mmmm... Solgar? vitamins are vegan, from memory... not available in Australia any more, I think they might've been European. Not sure if they're available over there.

You might find it easier look at what nutrients might be missing or a bit low, and supplement only those... if she's getting lots of fruit and veg then vitamin a shouldn't be a problem, and exposure to sunlight will provide vitamin d. I found a good calcium/iodine powder supplement (add to milkshakes!) while I was pregnant, and had a separate iron/folate/b12 supplement.
