Warning about deception does not make one any of those things.

As I mentioned before, I have family and friends caught up in this, who believe that the Holy Spirit of God causes people to act shamefully, losing control of their bodies, twitching, jerking, barking like a dog, hissing like a shake, laughing uncontrollably and disrupting others (even when Scripture is read). People I love and care about who believe you can get “drunk” on the Holy Spirit as though He is a substance you become intoxicated with or high on. Family and friends who accept the most unBiblical things, just because it’s mysterious or unexplainable. Who follow false teachers who claim to be able to sell the gifts of the Holy Spirit for a price.

And I have watched, read and listened to hours of the things these “prophets” and “apostles” are teaching and doing, and it is utterly and overwhelming devoid of the true Gospel.

One of the most disturbing things I watched was a program (that family members of mine were trusting in) where people went out in public and claimed to be led by the Holy Spirit to lay hands on people and pray for them. They came to one lady and she asked that the Holy Spirit straighten her bra strap. So, that’s what the people prayed for. There was no Gospel message shared, none. And I’ve seen this over and over again with these supposed prophets, apostles and healers. It is beyond devastating to me that in this urgent hour, this is what so much of the Church is valuing and trusting in. Now, when we are exhorted to be alert and sober minded, people are getting “drunk” on the Holy Spirit!

I have shed so many tears for the deception that has come upon the Church today and for all those who, without discernment, are being taught to chase after signs and wonders and estatic, emotional experiences and to condemn and dismiss anyone who tries to warn them.

It truly breaks my heart to know people I love are falling into this and I know I must keep them always in my prayers.

Anyway. It’s up to you to look into Todd White, Sid Roth and others, and I really hope you do.

As for “touch not God’s anointed”, I am very familiar with that being thrown around carelessly. I strongly encourage you to look up that verse and read it in context. It does NOT apply to anyone and everyone who claims some special “anointing” today.

God has promised His Spirit to ALL who believe, and not only to a select few. Nor has He promised more of His Spirit to some and less to others.

You said nothing about the concern regarding the buying and selling of the gifts of the Holy Spirit so many claim to be able to do. It should grieve you, truly, that Christians are being made merchandise of by those who tell them to hand over their money and in return they too can have the “anointing” or specific gift of the Spirit the one selling the gift has.

Do you not care that people are being deceived, or do you simply not believe any of the warnings in Scripture about deception? I have no idea, but it is very distressing to me.

If lovingly warning people makes me “faithless”, so be it. If you ever want to have an honest, Biblical discussion about these issues, just let me know. I hope you have a wonderful evening.

After all the accolade I gave you for your 'trumping' verse with me, I really am disappointed that the verse I shared earlier didn't even make 'notable mention' here. We know that it wasn't just man who's dying from the curse, it's the whole of creation. And we know that God is going make "ALL THINGS NEW" including "new heavens and NEW EARTH". So what's that new earth going to have on it, just people strumming harps? Isn't the death of a Penny or a Buster still part of "the last enemy to be destroyed is death"???

ROM 8:22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now; 23 and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

The one who needs the bible to know the heart of God for His creation probably hasn't ever rubbed mud in the eyes of the blind. Doesn't that prove 'ordained of God'? After all it's IN the bible, why aren't they doing it?

Maybe someone should find the verse telling us God didn't/doesn't heal whoever or whatever He wants by His supernatural power. Instead of glorifying that healing as coming from Satan, who can not create but only mimic the 'true' ministers of light.

2CO 3:6 who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not in a written code but in the Spirit; for the written code kills, but the Spirit gives life.

I liked being Spirit led in my Buster's healing testimony.

Of course God can do as He pleases but I won't fall into the emotional trap that modern society has ascribed to. You know, the "but they're just like my children" rhetoric. Before you ask, yes, I have animals as pets but when they get sick, I don't spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to fix them. I humanly put them down and get another.

Where else in nature do you see animals regarding the Sabbath and resting? Only within OUR gates.... the Sabbath was made for mankind, remember?

Several years back, I was the old codger allowed to be part of a young whippersnappers group who thought they were the cutting edge of God spiritually compared to us fuddy duddys. One night 'Billy' brought his dog Buster to the meeting because the vet said he was terminal. Everybody oood and ahhhd over poor Buster. I'm thinking come on kids it's a dog, let's get spiritual here and study the bible. Well they decided Buster needed to be prayed for, for healing. I'm really having a 'you got to be kidding' moment. I share that to let you know where my faith level was, when they decided that the bible said "call for the 'elders' to pray for the sick. I had a bit of a panic attack thinking what am I going to pray that isn't going to reveal my unbelieving heart here. So I started out doing my 'best' when the Holy Spirit endued me with the His supernatural manifestation of the "gift of faith". My prayer changed and I prayed with the faith God requires. When I said Amen I told Billy; "That dog is healed." Next time I saw Billy I asked about Buster. He said it was funny, because the vet redid the blood work and it came back negative. So he redid it and it came back positive. I told Billy to keep believing God and not the tests. That dog survived. People believing like you have a funeral. Your choice.

And BTW I don't get $600,000 for the gospel from the pockets of men. Not that money or the lack thereof is the litmus for what is received by faith....but to each his own 'deception' IMO. And the deception of those 'devoid of the Holy Spirit's gifts' from unbelief here, is way better represented here than that of those who do believe....and that is a "deceiving I do not deny" either.
