TODAY !?

Beloved ones, this is what we have heard:

“Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “TODAY, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
In the day of trial in the wilderness,”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:7-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, how we should perceive and understand about “TODAY”?

This is what we have heard:

“but EXHORT one another DAILY, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We should perceive and understand, that the hardening could happen daily through the deceitfulness of sin.

So our hearts should perceive and understand, that we should EXHORT one another daily, that we may not be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

“If “today” means that we EXHORT one another daily, if we will hear His voice, do not harden our hearts as in the rebellion,
In the day of trial in the wilderness” ; so we should perceive and understand that today we exhort one another daily, TO HEAR HIS VOICE; by hearing His voice, our hearts will not be hardened through deceitfulness of sin.

So TODAY means that we exhort one another daily, hearing His voice, that our hearts may not be hardened through deceitfulness of sin.

Also, we heard:

“while it is said: “TODAY, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts AS IN THE REBELLION.””
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What does it means “AS IN THE REBELLION.” ?

This is what we have heard:

“For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses?

Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?

And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?

So we SEE that they could not enter in because of UNBELIEF.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:16-19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So “AS IN THE REBELLION”, we SEE or perceive “AS IN THE UNBELIEF”.

So, let us consider while it is said: “TODAY, let us hear His voice, let us not harden our hearts as in the rebellion or unbelief or failure to be persuaded with the truth.

Let our hearts believe the truth, that we heard from Him, who delivered us of bondage of sin,lead us by Holy Spirit, now with whom He was pleased forever with those whom He raised up out of abundance in Christ, to whom He promised that they would enter in His rest, to those who obey Him. So we perceive that we enter in because of belief in the truth, that is, in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.

So while it is said: “TODAY, let us hear His voice, let us not harden our hearts, by believing in Christ.

Let us consider again the saying “TODAY”, that we heard:

“AGAIN He designates A CERTAIN DAY, saying in David, “TODAY,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “TODAY, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.””
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For if Joshua had given them REST, then He would not afterward have spoken of ANOTHER DAY. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:8-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

For we heard, for if Joshua had given them REST, then He would not afterward have spoken of ANOTHER DAY. So this REST is also called ANOTHER DAY, that again He designates A CERTAIN DAY, saying in David, “TODAY,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “TODAY, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.

So the saying “TODAY”, we can perceive and understand as ANOTHER DAY or A CERTAIN DAY or A CERTAIN REST or REST.

Then we heard :

“Let us therefore BE DILIGENT TO ENTER THAT REST, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So let us therefore BE DILIGENT TO ENTER THAT REST, or we can also say : let us therefore BE DILIGENT TO ENTER TODAY, by standing according to the same example of obedience in Christ.
