  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That simply isn't true. What is the offence she should have been convicted of, and, if you are referring to the email nonsense, why did that offence not attract the necessity of proving mens rea. Or are you accusing the director of the FBI of corruption in a public office, and if so, what is your evidence?
She deleted email after she received subpoena and Comey knew that. He knew when she was subpoenaed, and the FBI report gave the dates of the deleted email. So yes..Comey is as guilty as Hillary.

I wouldn't say that he is, but the FBI will never again have the reputation that it once did. Hereafter, it will be seen just as the Department of Justice is--as an arm of the White House.

By the way, I recall news commentators (I think Rush Limbaugh was among them) who insisted, earlier, that the people who work for the FBI have such a strong sense of integrity that if there were preferential treatment shown to the person being investigated in this case, that there'd be a lot of resignations. I have not heard of anything like that happening.

But like everyone says...this thread is about Trump.
How about Trump's bromance with Putin? Or is it a man-crush?

The OP included "what's new" in Hillary's campaign, too. Therefore, I'd say that it considered "Today in Trump" to be about all things relating to his chances and to his campaign...so how his opponent is doing would obviously be part of that.

Only in the eyes of people who never trusted them in the first place for not lynching CLinton on day one -- let's not pretend anything is going to change.

Rush Limbaugh was wr- wr- wr- wr- wrong? Say it ain't so, Shoeless Joe!

Trump tries to scare his white base and seemingly gives up on Latino outreach.

“I think this will be the last election that the Republicans have a chance of winning because you're going to have people flowing across the border, you're going to have illegal immigrants coming in and they're going to be legalized and they're going to be able to vote, and once that all happens, you can forget it."

Michelle Bachman predictably also said silly things. "this is the last election when we even have a chance to vote for somebody who will stand up for godly moral principles."

Hispanic rhymes with Satanic. Coincidence?

I used to know someone who was a special agent. Typically, special agents doing the investigations, will have disagreements with the attorney's in the justice department, as to whether they have the goods to prosecute and that has always been the case.

That's an expression of your own hope, I take it. I don't find that in the article you linked us to.

Anyway, Trump's comment here is common knowledge among members of all political parties. It's a fact of life, so there's nothing especially controversial about it. The Obama administration is registering doing this "as we speak," in fact.

And I was referring to what is common, both in the FBI and local police. Investigators often feel they have enough to prosecute someone and the attorney's that have to do the prosecuting, disagree.

His fearmongering is based on the premise that all those brown people will vote Democratic. The sane part of the Republican party has been trying to pull conservative Latinos into the GOP tent, but Trump's messages have undercut this so much that his own Latino spokespeople are leaving the campaign in disgust.

Trump is now going all-in on attracting the scared white people vote.

Ahem. As I said, that's all an expression of your own feelings.

The article that you linked us to and which, presumably, was going verify your statement....didn't.

Anyway, I think there was one Latino supporter who withdrew from the Trump campaign, and Trump has increased his appeals to minorities lately, if anything. It's a fact that most immigrants tend to vote Democratic, mainly because they are used to being dependent upon government and take it for granted. But the assumption that legal residents of the USA who have immigrated are automatically in favor of open borders is a mistaken notion.

I would look for the next 8 weeks for Trump to be focused heavily on Clinton's health status.

The fact that she had a concussion that took several months to recover from (at her age) and a deep vein thrombosis issue, are fairly significant health issues. Now, people can recover from the same and be treated for them, but they can be used to raise doubt's about her health condition. Add in, the fact Hilary claimed she couldn't recall so many times with the FBI and combine that with the concussion issue and Trump may actually get some traction and raise doubts.

A full release of her medical records may be called for from the Trump camp, which would provide more specifics on this issue.

A look into the Trump Foundation. Trump hasn't shared his tax returns, but the foundation has to report publicly, allowing some insight into Trump's philanthropy.

Trump hasn't donated to his own charity since 2008.

At times, Trump was just acting as a middleman for other people's money, while taking the credit.

"Trump had earlier gone to a charity in New Jersey — the Charles Evans Foundation, named for a deceased businessman — and asked for a donation. Trump said he was raising money for the Palm Beach Police Foundation.

The Evans Foundation said yes. In 2009 and 2010, it gave a total of $150,000 to the Donald J. Trump Foundation, ...

Then, Trump’s foundation turned around and made donations to the police group in South Florida. In those years, the Trump Foundation’s gifts totaled $150,000.

Trump had effectively turned the Evans Foundation’s gifts into his own gifts, without adding any money of his own."

Trump is now going all-in on attracting the scared white people vote.

IMO, that was his intention since day one. He wants to turn those loyal ex-Palinite supporters into loyal Trump customers.

Her recent diagnosis of pneumonia isn't going to help matters, either.
