It seems so wastefully materialistic, but I'm ever so grateful for my pool (the first year we've had one), especially these days when it's the only non-stressing exercise I can do without causing further damage to my knee! I can't help but wonder if He knew all along how much of a blessing it would be for me this summer!

Which reminds me again that oft-times even our seemingly inconsequential decisions are led by His grace and measureless wisdom for us.

I'm also gloriously grateful for all the fresh yummy vegetables this time of year!

Me again *blushes* but there's been so much to be thankful for. I'm especially thankful today for my daughter-in-law, who has such a wonderful, energetic talent and love for kids, and is the co-director of the Vacation Bible School this week! She's grown so much in the Lord in the past few years, and it's such an answer to prayer.

A local coffee shop that actually serves a great cup of black coffee, and calls their sizes "small", "medium" and "large." They have all the flavors too, and I think they "speak Starbucks" to that crowd. But, in any event, they know how to keep this "golden eagle" happy!

I am absolutely radiating gratitude today . . what a week of breakthroughs and blessings! For one, I found out that my youngest granddaughter, aged 7, had heard two speakers at her VBS share about praying to God for healing, and without prompting at supper that night, bent her head and asked God to "heal her Grandma's knee tonight while she slept". I woke up this morning with less pain than I've had in weeks, and began to literally "Walk By Faith", praising Him with each twinge of pain for the Healing He has given me! Though my flesh wants to argue this healing, I am fully certain that it is mine! (and as the day has gone by, the pain is lessening by the hour!!) Bless the trust and faith of a child!

But best of all, my daughter-in-law just told me this morning that both of my granddaughters have just this week prayed to accept Jesus as the Lord of their lives . . separately and each with convincing sincerity!
