Today I am grateful that my son, who recently passed away, is safe in the arms of Jesus, which is where he longed to be. I am grateful that all of my children know the Lord and even in the depths of our sorrow, we have the confidence, that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is found is Christ Jesus.

A hearty Amen to that! My father passed from life to Life in November, and my wife's mother followed in December. We praise our Lord, and God, and Savior, Jesus Christ, for overcoming sin, death, and the devil for them; and for us.

a quiet, subdued Sunday morning, and the "hush" that flurries and rain can bring with it...seems to put everything in s-l-o-w motion

Today I am grateful for multiplied grace

looking back at Friday [last]

It saw me arise just before seven-thirty
to let my dogs to the yard and give them breakfast
and a small treat
To drink a coffee and then to shower
and dress for my pre-med appointment


while Mary showers I make her a cup of tea

Mary has her breakfast and I make us another drink
We get halfway into our drinks when the transport arrives
more-than 15 minutes early.... tch tch !
and it's; coats-on and GO!!!
Have I checked that I have locked the front door 'securely' ?
[Mary checks and confirms] we are off

From the 'quiet' of the 'square' in which we occupy a house
with small gardens to the front, and rear
we are carried, within a very few minutes to a more Urban Area
of buildings on either side, both, residential and commercial premises
no more than, a few floors high, can be seen from our transport's windows

The driver mumbles, that he hasnt been to this place before
[you know...the 'score'... you've heard it all before]
'I wont be a minute... I'll just peruse this map'
It took about 40 minutes of travelling to reach our destination
Which is opposite a huge building, belonging to the University of Manchester
one, of very many in the neighbourhood

We enter the foyer of the Manchester Royal Infirmary
and armed with a graphic of the hospital department's whereabouts
made our way along the PURPLE AREA to JUNCTION 4
where a defunct lift was intended to lift us to the second floor
STAIRS!!!!!
I arrived, with Mary at the relevant reception area
along the ORANGE corridor
and are bid, to sit and await attention
It is 10.10 am and my 'appointment is for 10.30am

At 11.30am I approached the receptionist concerning 'any-delay'
because, I had 'transport-booked'
and she rushed-off.... to find mitigating cause
Five minutes later and my name is called... 'this way...please!'

I know I had expected to be weighed, BP checked, maybe a fluids also
but this was not to be, for all I witnessed was
a quick swab of both nostrils and both sides of my groin
Just 'checking' I wasnt carrying MRSA into the hospital
and now we CAN GO!!!!

I wasnt in the consulting room for two minutes [TOPS!!!!]
but the round-trip had been over four hours
the sightseeing wasnt the sort of thing you could really write about
although on the plus side... I do NOW...know
where to find Manchester Museum
and how to get there and Mary and I plan to go visit it, 'soon'

I was pleased to get back home though
to get through the door and the welcome
of, Rolo and Teddy... 'it's sure good to see you are back'

For where I am, Lord I thank you

healing over a loss..God does comfort and renew..as I sense new beginnings in this area of my life.

Living in a nation where I am allowed to read the bible and worship where I wish.

for a mild day headed for upper 50's-60, sunny and beautiful...and a gathering with family later

A collection, from Bob's neighbours, raised £80
Bob's family have asked;
that it be family flowers only, at his cremation this Monday
and also that any-donations, be sent to the Britsh Diabetic Association
A cheque will be sent tomorrow

Today I am grateful I am still Alive , and for my new job: "School-nurse", which I like.
I really like children alot! plus I get to work private-duty for medically-fragile students.
