to heaven ?

Morning again ,

This is a question I've been wanting to ask for ages , and the others versions of this on the forum didn't always satisify. So here goes.

As my intro describes , I'm not a good crisitan , whilst not wanting to sounds like I'm boasting ( I'm really not ) I've had PM sex , ive laid with both sexes and I'm terrible at going to church. Now from what I can see because I Belive in te lord and Jesus , god will be able to forgive my many and constant sins , and then , if he does see fit , I can enter to heaven.

Now , the problem. One of my closest and best friends is a Sikh. He is one of the most loving , kind and gentle souls I know , true to his religion and just about the opposite of me. He really is a true gentlemen who has no bad word about anybody. Yet he obviously does not belive in Christ as the son of god , so on that basis surely he cannot go to heaven.

No he is not far more deserving than you, It's like asking about a Satanist who believes in demons if he is far more deserving than you, Absolutely no he is not.

I can't imagine what you have done, It's bad, Because you are a teenager, And that's so much for a teenager, But you absolutely can ask for Lord mercy, Make sure you no longer want to commit adultery before marriage, And of course make sure you do not look or think about your brothers or sisters in a horrible way.

If you truly want the lord mercy, Read the bible, especially the part about sexuality, You must understand that what you have done or thought about is completely abnormal, unnatural.

Think about your studies and future, Sex isn't only for fun, It's how you can get a Child to this world.

I recommened you to stay away from your "Friend" because he will absolutely have a bad effect on you, It's better to have no friends at all then having many friends who would persuade you to sin.

I recommend you to ask your parents for advice, or at least some one old that can actually help you.

I do agree with you on some points there , I shall indeed ask the lord for mercy and forgiveness, and try never to have sex out of marriage. I thank you for that advice

However I don't agree with the part about my friend.he does not temp me to sin , as I have said. May i ask what the " bad effect " he has on me is ?

Brother, from my experience, People you are surrounded by has a pretty obvious effect on you, For example if he starts talking about his religion and teach you things that sikhis are taught you will start to doubt your religion, In fact he is a bit different don't you think? Different values, Different teachings, Different way of thinking, But if you surround yourself with christian friends, You will feel way better because they have the same values, same way of thinking and of course same religion.

It's your choice buddy, You choose your friends, You choose with whom you want to be as well.

Thanks so much for your reply , what we me being a christian and him being a sihk , we've both decided not to speak about religion with each other. its now a no go area.

the issue really isn't with deserving heaven, because really none of us deserve it. with Jesus having taken our punishment for us, the issue is now on choice, and who decides to accept His sacrifice (of course this is the non-calvinist view). your friend could just as easily be saved as you, if he so chooses.

Sadly your Sikh friend, no matter how moral he is, will ultimately be condemned to hell due to the fact that he doesn't believe in Jesus. In the Christian religion, you are not judged by your works, one is granted eternal life only if they receive Jesus into their hearts.
