  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was able to attend another TLM this weekend and I have to say I think it's beautiful but I don't get as much out of it as I do a NO Mass.

The biggest thing for me is the readings. I love having the 2 readings the psalm and the Gospel reading in a language I understand.

I will say I think the NO needs to be changed so it's more uniform. It has to be changed to be the NO Mass VII intended it to be. I have mentioned going to Mass at St. Bernards in Cullman, AL. The Mass that is celebrated there every day is even better then some TLM Masses I have been to.

Like on Sunday Masses they still do the blessing and sprinking of the Holy Water at the beginning of the Mass and they say the parts of the Mass that is supposed to be in Latin in Latin.

But I know there are also many NO Masses that shouldn't even be called Masses. I think what should be done is the Holy Father should crack down on the Bishops that are allowing these Mickey Mouse Masses and clown masses and whatever else they are having.

I am also in favor of making the Latin Mass available for those who want to attend. But I will say, although it is gaining in popularity it isn't that popular. You look at donations at my parish and the Latin Mass has the lowest amoung of donations of any Masses by a lot.

I wish every NO Mass could be like the Masses at St. Bernards because if they were no one would complain...well...the liberals would complain but you would have a NO Mass the way it was intended.
