every accusation is a conffession, maybe it's actually trump thats barely working and propped up instead of biden.I doubt Doddering Donald even knows what day of the week it is, let alone which places tariffs are being put on (or even what tariffs are, as he has proven time and again).
If that were the case, you might have something there. But as multiple people have pointed out, most of these countries simply do not have tariffs anything like the ones on Trump's poster board. The numbers on it are made-up.Why on earth people consider it a bad thing if we turn around and say we are going to do to you what youve been doing to us for many decades now, is beyond me.
because it's not a reality, it's lies and incompetency, take the milk thing trump was complaining about, it's a potential tarrif that was never actually reached, because the US never sold enough milk, or this tariffs refer to the deficit. plus there is on no planet that this works, thats not how things work.I don't have any idea if any of this will work. If it does it will be a boon for all of us. If it fails it could end up causing a recession. I dont like the fact that Trump had put so much emphasis on this. He did campaign on it, and I have ZERO problems with a tit for tat tarrif. Some countries out heavy tarrifs on out goods or at least some of them. Europe and Canada have some big time tarrifs.
Why on earth people consider it a bad thing if we turn around and say we are going to do to you what youve been doing to us for many decades now, is beyond me. It's like people WANT America to be screwed over.
But I wonder about the carrot. What is Trump telling these countries? The carrot would be we have better trade and more opportunities if we all just drop all this.
I don't know. I'm willing to wait and see what happens. The real issue is the economy. And if this all fails and the economy goes in the tank then there will be a large price to pay. Right now, Trump is on the razors edge.
So if Trump is as incompetent and clownish as you say he is, and unqualifiedThe fact that you actlike it's not impotant is reason enough. The preisdent of the united states, is too stupid to realize he's tariffing places no one lives, what other idiotic things is he doing that are far worse. It shows again either carelessness, or incompetency enough to be dangerous and should be impeached.
and this is the smug and arrogant attitude from the Dems that allowed Trump to winIf we are considering "where" the idiocy really lies, I suggest the obvious - the voter.
Off topic. So if Trump is as incompetent and clownish as you say he is, and unqualified
then how clownish and unqualified is the woman
Uh… If that’s immediately where your head goes when you hear that, that’s on you… Not Democrats.and this is the smug and arrogant attitude from the Dems that allowed Trump to win
aka, most voters in the US are ignorant, racist, white trash
harris lost people people bought the lies by trump, the very people now surprisxed and angry that he lied. Harris says more abotu the gullability of americans more then anything about her. Anyone that was half paying attention to trumps first term knew it be bad in second, only surprising is how bad, how idiotic and how fast.So if Trump is as incompetent and clownish as you say he is, and unqualified
then how clownish and unqualified is the woman who badly lost an election to him?
like maybe you should have nominated someone who wasn't a completely unqualified diversity hire and a total joke?
and what does this say about the competence of the Democratic Party?
they don't, trumps an idiot and thinks his base is too. Or do you think penguins are putting tariffs on the US?US v World on tariffs - why do so many countries use tariffs?
Yes they do - there are close to 170 countries that place tariffs on US products. That is reality - not some idiot.they don't, trumps an idiot and thinks his base is too. Or do you think penguins are putting tariffs on the US?
They use them to protect key industries, like the much-ballyhooed Canadian dairy tariffs, which are only in effect if the US exports are more than a trade agreement determined limit, and they never are. So that no Canadian importer ever pays this tariff on US products.US v World on tariffs - why do so many countries use tariffs?

Why do you think the tariffs are RECIPROCAL? (def Expressing mutual action or relationship)
On the subject of Norfolk Island an Australian external territory population 2188 according to the 2021 census, has been been particularly hard hit by tariffs.Department of Geographic Errors
‘Nowhere on Earth is safe’: Trump imposes tariffs on uninhabited islands near Antarctica
Australian prime minister surprised after external territories – including tiny Norfolk Island and remote islands home to penguins [see, it's not uninhabited!] – targeted by US president
Heard Island and McDonald Islands, which form an external territory of Australia, are among the remotest places on Earth, accessible only via a two-week boat voyage from Perth on Australia’s west coast. They are completely uninhabited, with the last visit from people believed to be nearly 10 years ago.

Trump has also targeted Réunion Island, which is an overseas department of France -- making it every bit a part of France (and the Eurozone) as Hawai'i is of the US.
There is reality to it though. I actually looked up the Canadian tarrifs on American goods. The items that had tariffs on them went anywhere from 5 to almost 200% depending on what they were. They were 2022 tariffs becauae i couldn't find any data on 2024.because it's not a reality, it's lies and incompetency, take the milk thing trump was complaining about, it's a potential tarrif that was never actually reached, because the US never sold enough milk, or this tariffs refer to the deficit. plus there is on no planet that this works, thats not how things work.
The USA doesn’t ship enough dairy products for their tariffs to come into play…did you miss that part? There is reality to it though. I actually looked up the Canadian tarrifs on American goods. No planet where this works? Thwn why do countries put tariffs on our goods?
The real question is will reciprocating tariffs work? That remains to be seen. You don't know and neither do I.
Trump's team may have put together a graphic taking into consideration everything instead of JUST the tariff, which I think was a mistake to do, but for people to claim reciprocating tariffs are bad, well that's just voting for America to be screwed over.
again not reality, the 250% on milk A) never has been put up B) only goes into effect, above a certain amount sold wich has never been hit so no, it's not reality. And as pointed out many of these so called tariffs are just the trade defcit and 0 tarrifs. There is reality to it though. I actually looked up the Canadian tarrifs on American goods. The items that had tariffs on them went anywhere from 5 to almost 200% depending on what they were. They were 2022 tariffs becauae i couldn't find any data on 2024.
