You read ahead :D I didn't provide any vowels for this section - your transliterations were pretty close

Did you recognize this verse? Genesis 1:1 In the beginning Elohim created the heavens...

You did great

Since I didn't give vowels on the first ex your transliterations "can't" be incorrect. I was only looking for identifying the letters.

Lesson one homework
Exercise 1:
Circle the letters you know and know the names of the letters.

Most would say Lamed, but that is not a big deal :) Especially since this letter was not introduced in this lesson.
את
Aleph/Tev
Tav not Tev - not a big deal - again this letter was not introduced in this lesson.
השמים
Hey/Shin/Mem/Yod/Mem

2.

3.

There are variations in how people "write" the English name of a Hebrew letter. The most important thing is that you recognize the Hebrew letter and know what sound it makes

Bonus question:
Do you know what אלהים means? Here are the vowels for these letters:

אֱלֹהִים
