So then it would be a Universalist Church...The latter.
No, Ohioprof is a Universalist. She does speak for herself.
So... what kind of church would that be then?
So then it would be a Universalist Church...
Your Original Question was ...
Universalist...
just googled and there are Universalist Christians also...so it could very well be a Universalist Christian Church she attends...

IF is a big word! No one is born gay, and God hates no one. He is perfect.
Anyone who would speak of God that way would be evil. In fact, everyone is evil until they come to Christ.
Whatever floats yer boat, Bub.
How does one become homosexual then? Is it a conscious decision? Do heterosexuals just wake up one morning and decide to become attracted to the opposite sex?
3 ways:
Demonic infiltration
- Unconscious formation
- Conscious choice
- Demonic influence
Well this is why i haven't settled in my heart that everything is peachy. Everything ISN'T okay and I let God know. I do accept Jesus as my personal savior and I try to walk with him, and sure I screw up sometimes. I never really got the notion of "WE ARE SINFUL TO THE CORE". I mean I accept that we are all broken people who mess up but I don't agree that we are sinful to our CORE, sure sin corrupts us and messes things up in our lives but I believe that the reason we get into sin isn't because we are already sinful to the core, but we are merely trying to fill a hole that only God can fill. The biggest thing I struggle with is whether or not Homosexuality can really be considered sinful. Thanks for your prayers.Because we are sinful to the core. We all struggle with many things that take us far from God. I do. Everyday I lay my burden down at the cross, amd trust in Jesus Christ.
Daily walking with God is the only way we are able to keep sin at bay. Reading His Word, journalling what He is saying to you daily from His Word, prayer including adoration, confession, thanksgiving and supplications (ACTS) and worshipping Him everyday in song will keep the Holy spirit close.
Keeping short accounts with God will assist us in becoming overcomers!
I will be praying for you, Nate.
Now your starting to confuse me. I get the notion of God loves the sinner and hates the sin, that is generally acceptable, I also get that as sinners we must continually seek repentance and come clean with God. What I don't agree with is how you categorized the person who is gay in a different light. Everyone else must CONTINUALLY wash themselves from the blood of Jesus, but the Homosexual must renounce it and walk away from it. Isn't this a double standard? Things aren't so easily black and white, good or bad. The truth is that regardless of what you think of homosexuality, Love between to men can be Godly, not saying it always is, and not saying that its never twisted, but God looks highly on fellowship between fellow men (or women).God doesn't hate ANYONE. But it will feel like hate when the sinner is dropped into the abyss, kicking and screaming. No mercy.
Goid condemns sin. Those who are stained by it and NOT washed in the blood of Jesus CONTINUALLY (that means confessing your sins regularly--and in the case of a homosexual--renouncing and walking away from it in freedom), will receive the appropriate reward: hell.
Love experienced God's way is what life is all about. Outside of God's parameters is theft, idolatry, fornication and downright chaos. Exactly what the counterfeiter, Satan has designed...on a silver platter of course.

It's not a church. It's a social club.
YES JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU...ENOUGH TO WANT TO CHANGE YOU...THAT GOES OUT TO HETEROSEXUALS AS WELL SIN IS SIN AND IF WE ARE WATERING DOWN THE LOVE OF CHRIST JESUS TO SOME STATEMENT "I LOVE YOU" THEN WE ARE WASTING OUR TIME AS CHRISTIANS "For GOD so loved the world that He gave"-John 3:16
GOD's love destroyed the devil, so we can be free from homosexual as well as heterosexual addictions.
LET GOD SPEAK FOR HIMSELF:
ROMANS 1:27:
"27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion
Hey lets not leave this kid as Collateral damage . OK? quite your ego centric bickering.
OP as in Original Poster or OhioProf?
From my understanding the OP as in Original Poster is confused and on a journey which I wish him luck in finding...God is with him whether he knows it or not on the journey
OP OhioProf from my understanding is a Unitarian(there are different types of Unitarians).
Christian Unitarians believe in and do follow Christ's path...
She sounds like a Christian Unitarian (she can speak for herself Im sure), however nonetheless...I would say it doesnt matter, but that is MO and MOO
The latter.
No, Ohioprof is a Universalist. She does speak for herself.
God dosn`t have a double standard.Yes, it is a double standard. At least you are aware of that; now the issue becomes how do you deal with the double standard?
Is it fair that you never chose your orientation, that you were born the way you are, and according to the bible god is going to condemn you to hell for it? After all, the bible also claims that god created you in the womb.
Is that fair? Because the bible is very clear on it's stance on homosexuality...is this a god you really want to worship? He creates a homosexual then wants to throw them in the depths of hell?? That's a ludicrous thought...makes you wonder who wrote the bible and why.
He Designed Man and Woman,to love and be fruitful and multiply.
Man and Woman in sin desired to be homosexual.
Thank you...You are mostly correct about me, and I am OP Ohioprof, not OP the original poster. I am a Unitarian Universalist, with emphasis on the Universalist rather than the Unitarian. There is no icon in these forums for Unitarian Universalist, alas, just "Unitarian." One of my pet peeves is people calling us Unitarians, when we are Unitarian Universalists. My particular congregation was founded as a Universalist church. I am proud of our Universalist heritage. Universalists believe that God is love, and that all people are saved. Now that Unitarians and Universalists are one faith together, I consider myself to be a Unitarian Universalist Christian.
Ah but this is God speaking if one believes the testimony. Paul received his revelation from the risen Lord, at least he claimed it and those others who were taught by the Lord endorse him. When the gospel writers record the words of Jesus is it not God speaking? That is not God speaking. That is you quoting an old text. The text was written by a man, not by God. It was later translated by ordinary, fallible people
No.Dear Ohioprof,
