Well, it is good to love people and not mainly want to use them for pleasure.
Ones have a preference, really, for pleasure.
But in Christianity, ones say we need to deny our selves, die to our self, so we can love people and not mainly or only live for pleasure. And God's love satisfies us so this is easier and easier. But this is not only about a better feeling, but first we need to desire to please God our Father, by being gentle and humble and quiet in His way of love.
So, what you could be talking about is what is not quiet > dominating, distracting, uninvited feelings and emotions are included in what we call "lusts". These are not love, but nagging for pleasure and often for experiences which we don't want. And it can be how enough is never enough!!
So, there is no method to make this go away, but it is personal . . . how God changes us to be like His Son Jesus, more and more, then so we are busy with loving and caring so it is easier to keep our minds better with personal and tender loving, instead of how we can just use someone.
So, welcome to Christian Forums; God bless you
