Well since you guys wanted alittle more info I didn't want to hijack the thread so I thought I would post some of the stuff I had found here. First I will repost what I had said in the other thread becuase I don't know how to link to it.

well i already told you about the horny goat weed that he takes, we also bd alot the week before and then try to stop at 2-3 days before O and wait till O day to bd agian. Last month we were not able to do this but it is the goal, we were just really frisky last month for some reason. Anyway. Also dh drinks a caffinated beverage beforehand. Supposedly this gives his little guys alittle extra kick. LOL We also have certain positions we use around O time to make the distance shorter for those stubborn sperm sorry if TMI. We are not heavy drinkers but the week before O we do not have any alchoholic beverages at all. Now I just don't drink much but dh likes one once in awhile, but not O week. Also we take the Geritol complete & we both take b-6 all month. He wears boxers for the 3-4 days before he goes commando(no briefs or boxers) at night. And a bunch of other little things.

Ok now I will give you other things I have heard we just haven't tried. I have taken these from other sites. Some are farfetched sounding some not. I am not saying anyone should try any of these. Research them first!!!!

These are a list for improving CM -"Some home/natural remedies include eating salty foods such as popcorn (mucus is very salty), taking evening primrose oil, avoiding dairy products (they can thicken mucus), eating lots of baby carrots, and also avoiding antihistamines, including high doses of vitamin C. Another suggestion that is increasing in popularity is to drink grapefruit juice in order to improve or increase the amount of cervical mucus. If one is on prescription medications, it is a good idea to look for warning about grapefruit juice consumption (it isn't recommended with several medications for hypertension, for example)."

Robitussin is used to improve cervical mucus.

This site talks about recipes for fertility http://www.natural-fertility-info.com/juice.html to me some don't sound real appitizing though.

A list of herbs that you can research are at http://sdsd.essortment.com/fertilityherbs_rgqs.htm I encourage you to really look into any herb before you take it. especially if you are taking any kind of medication.

Ok last Some had asked me about the positions. I can not type these out it is just wrong somehow, no I don't know how, but I feel all shy about it. LOL So here is a site that has all the ones I was told and some additional info about how important it is to end happy LOL. I am so blushing lol. http://www.fertility.com/international/concern/Maximise_Your_Fertility/Sexual_Positions.jsp

Ok so Now I shared. I hope someone else will share also so I don't blush all night by myself..

Thanks for sharing these tips. Good idea to start a new thread!

I looked at those positions - they were the ones I'd figured were most conducive to conception, so that was good. Further to the positioning during intercourse, I wonder if there's any further benefit from tilting hips upwards whilst lying on your back after intercourse. This helps psychologically, but I wonder if there's any real benefit to doing so.

I hope everyone doesn't think I am some obbessive freak. But dh and I have discussed this. Since we already have my 1st 2 ans 2 together if we don't get pregnant on our own we will not be pursuing this further. Mainly beause we can not justify the money it would cost when we already have 2 children together. KWIM??

So I researched to find as many things I could do on my own to encourage fertility. Also sine we already know about dh's sperm problems I researched more in the direction of helping with that first. I have just started researching stuff to help me. So if anyone knows anything I didn't list that could help me. Bring it please.

Well I certainly don't think you're obsessing.

Or, alternatively, we're ALL obsessing. :D

Seriously though, what's obsessive about being well-informed? :)

Thanks Ksdedee, this is a great thread.
I kwym about blushing when writing about positions, you're not the only one. I am going to take a look at the stuff you have shared in more detail later -I am a bit too tired now, so signing off.

By the way, it's funny how we all worry about being obsessive but I think it is a good thing to find out as much as we can to help. Sometimes knowledge can aleviate worry and stress.

I am not currently TTC, but seeing as how I went through infertility for two years and "obsessed" about all of this myself I had to post! I can so relate to all of you, and we did end up conceiving and she is now 9 months old! :D

There are a couple of tricks I used that aren't listed here, the main one being taking a baby aspirin every day. I could write all about it here, but it's much easier to just send you all here :) : http://womensfaithsupport.com/id9.html (it's towards the bottom)

Good luck to you all!

Be careful with the baby aspirin, do not take it without discussing with your Dr 1st. I had a friend that had to take it to conceive, and then during her pregnancy, but I also know that it is generally not a good idea for women who are TTC to take.

I'm just saying not to go on the word of someone here on taking any medication - without researching for yourself.
