  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Collie................. you know, like Lassie... I have owned that breed all my life...

they are love sponges..... soak up all the love you can give and give it back in large doses.....

any pet is a responsibility..... the decision of how responsible you will be is more important than the breed....

Are you going to be there for the feedings, cleanings, sicknesses, shots, dicipline, and most importantly love..... how committed are you?

good luck:thumbsup:

Chihuahuas r really cute!! I would like 2 get 1 but my mom thinks that they r "rats" and doesn't want 1. She would rather have a yorkie. I would also like 2 start out w/ a hamster or something like that, but my dad thinks that they stink and doesn't want 1.
How does your Dad feel about the yorkie?

Its a good idea to research the breed before you decide on a dog. You can find alot of information on line. Huskys are beautiful, they are also very fine escape artists which causes alot of problems for many people. All breeds have plusses and minuses and you want the dog that will best fit your family and living situation. The wrong breed could be a disaster especially since your dad is already hesitant. If you have a disaster it could wreck it for you forever. Also it would be a good idea to have a plan as to how you will train the dog and train it right from the start. Training is alot of work and time, not just in the beginning, but throughout the dogs life. It is much worth the effort. A well trained dog can be a real blessing and a wonderful family member and maybe your dad will forget about his negative ideas if he sees differently, A dog that is not well trained though is a disaster, and even a trained dog that is the wrong match for your living situation or lifestyle can also cause alot of problems. Be careful and don't make any hasty decisions.
