If your answer stretches into the seven figures, you would've been a good candidate for an abode in California's Santa Cruz that did not come with a tiny price tag. The Sacramento Bee notes that, per Home Advisor calculations, the average tiny house commands about $150 per square foot—which would equate to a normal selling price of slightly less than $50,000 for the 328-square-foot home that sold last month in the Seabright neighborhood.

So, per the article, a tiny house not what was sold. The house is larger than the listed size (ie it is a two bedroom, two bath), the lot is very large for the area, it has a storage shed, and a deck.

Wow and that is not even in the heart of Silicon Valley but actually in a bedroom community (that has a few tech companies). I am well aware of Santa Cruz going to university there and having family that lived in the county since the early 90s.

Here is a great contrast/foil to the OP, my parents former house in the Santa Cruz mountains that is still online. It sold for less than a million a few years back and is several times larger than this place.
