Times Speed
Time flies, how often spoken
But its speed has never broken,
Its feet were never made of lead
Nor ever did it run ahead.
We are the ones who often wish
That time would pass in one big swish,
Or else it should remove it speed
And let us now to take the lead,
But our pleas fall on deaf ears
And it frets not bout our fears,
Time begun has never varied
And our foolish thoughts has buried.
Now lets take this in our mind
And let us not be left behind,
But in our hands we take the key,
And redeem the time to free
Those whose life is firmly caught
By things that Satan there has taught.
May we forever let Christ guide
Because for us with love He died
And freed us from the bonds of death
To lead us to a greater breath,
That we may by Him ever learn
To show to men the way to turn.
Now with these thoughts within thy head
Turn and face the time not dead,
Then resolve inside your mind
To closer to thy Saviour bind.
