  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Timely intervention..

Hello reader,

I was reading Codya517;s story and it so reminded me of the timely trouble my brother had.

My brother was at home and had hurt his back and had lain on the floor for more than two days. An exray was organised and the results were astounding.

The exray was mainly for his back but showed something else, an aneurism (a local widening or dilation in the course of an artery) the weak artery was at the side of his heart.

The doctor told my bro that it could have burst when he was walking or playing golf, just at anytime.

He had a heart operation and had to have a long recovery.

I thank God for my brother's life you see he was a helicopter pilot and what might have been but for the hurt back doesnot bare thinking of. He was given a desk job for a while and is now retired.

I am so grateful he is here and enjoying being with his family and they with him.

A footnote: My brother's younger son has just given one of his kidney's to his elder brother and they are both doing well, I am glad even more that their father is here for them, and give thanks for God's good grace and help in such an amazing way.
