What time of the day in your scedule do you take time for God? Like when you maybe sit down to read your Bible or do your devotionals?

I usually do mine before I go to sleep. But I usually read throught the day too. But it just seems at night before I go to bed, is when I do my readings and stuff.

So I was just wondering when you guys take your time? On your lunch break, maybe when you get outta the shower... I donno I am just curious :)

Love you all :)

Morning - It's the only time that I am alone. My child and wife are still asleep. The sun is (hopefully) just coming up. I try to spend a half hour in prayer and reading the bible.

Evening - After our child is put to bed, my wife and I do a chapter in Purpose Driven Life and read the annotated scripture and discuss the questions posed each day.

I try to do mine before I go to bed, but sometimes even that doesn't get done. I think that the best time to do them is in the morning, even though that is not when I usually do mine. Sometimes in the morning, I get up and turn on a worship Cd, or turn on 103.5 WMUZ in Michigan. It depends on what I have to get done that day.

Hey Mellie1803, I live in Metro Detroit, too and find 103.5 and their sister AM station to be very helpful - I have a 35 minute commute every morning. I listen to the AM station (560) in the car and 103 once I get into work - since AM can't be picked up inside.

Dr. Vernon McGee, Dr. Michael Yousef, Kingdom Living w/ Mark Byers are my favourites. Listening to good radio is worship too! :D

I usually wake up in the morning saying Good morning Jesus and he always answers back good morning, then throughout the day I will just fellowship a talk with him, then I am on here a lot and try to let him use me on here, then yes when I really want to get closer to him and know more about him I will pray an hour or so and get in his presence and hear his voice so clear, its so awesome usually do this everyday before I watch TBN, then I get into the word and let him show me verses he wants to show me to lift me up or encourage me, then I pray some more before I go to bed, then hopefully just fall asleep..

I've committed to doing my devotions in the morning before I leave for work and the busyness of the day kicks in. My experience is that if I do not do it in the morning then I'm not likely to later in the day. It also helps to get my mind focused on God for the day.

The only exception to this right now is Thursdays. I am meeting with a discipleship group Thursday mornings from 5:30 (yes, AM) to 7:15. Needless to say I'm not quite coherent enough at 4:30 to do a quality devotional. I've asked my wife to hold me accountable to doing this after dinner on Thursdays.

What better way to arm us for the day than to worship and praise Him?
None that I know of, my friend.

Still I think consistency is more important than the timing. If evening devotion is when you're best able to commit time to Ged then go for it.

Is it just me or do you guys Sing Praises all day long... I find it helps out with like any kind of sin... and opens your eyes to how much God loves everyone.... it is so comforting.... Psalm 63... O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your poser and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. =)))))
HE IS SO GREAT................. TELL OTHERS ABOUT HIM=))))))))))
